"Ah, I woke up late. I should hurry and open up shop....." (Y/N) rubbed her eyes sleepily, as she opens the door that led to her small shop.
But when she opened the door, she sees a familiar figure sitting on one of the chairs.
"Morning! You opened up late!~" Kamui greets with a bright smile while (Y/N) was rendered speechless.
She stood there— blinking her eyes slowly. She blinked once—
He was still there.
She blinked twice
—Yup, still there.
She rubbed her eyes.
"Kamui— I haven't even opened up shop yet. How are you here?...." She groans and sits herself down as she rubs her temples.
"Hahahah! I let myself in~" He happily laughs, "I was hungry and wanted to eat your cooking again. But you haven't opened up yet," He pouted.
"....Kamui, what did I tell you about breaking in?"
"...That I should only do it if it's your shop?"
"—That you should never do it!"
(Y/N) sighs, "Stay here. I'll cook up something in a while..." She smiled as she walked away.
Somehow, she got used to this. Before she met Kamui, she was alone— opening up her shop to a dull and lonely morning, eating her breakfast in silence.
But now— Kamui was here.
"I really....don't regret meeting you," She whispers lowly.
(Yahoo! Flashback Start!)
"Heh...." Kamui scoffed in a low, bitter voice as he pressed a hand to his abdomen. He felt the warm blood trickle down his arms— thankfully the 25 tranquilizer darts imbedded on his back were hidden by his cape.
Otherwise— it would surely cause panic when they see him walking around with those darts on his back.
Finally losing the feeling of his legs, he fell down next to a small shop alley.
"....Those bastards," He growled with a clenched fist— "I'll kill them as soon as I get back, hah!"
(Y/N) hums as she walks out of her shop— there were stray cats who often visited her shop begging for food so it never hurt to give them leftovers.
"Huh....Guess they won't come, it's raining after all...."
She spots Kamui over the wall— looking like he would pass out any minute.
"Oh no, are you alright?!" Genuine worry was what Kamui saw in those (E/C) eyes of hers when she approached him.
"You—" Kamui slurred, his eyesight was getting blurry, he was losing strength and he felt numb.
—Of course he would. One dart could knock out an elephant, and 25 was all it took to barely knock him out.
"Bear with me a little while, alright?"
—The image that Kamui saw as his eyes fluttered close, was of her kneeling before him. Her beautiful (H/C) hair glistening wet from the rain.
"Don't worry, I'll save you!!"
She called out in that sweet, soft voice of hers that lulled him to sleep.
Falling against her figure Kamui finally closed his eyes as his body went limp.

"—It truly is a miracle how he's still alive." (Y/N) muttered to herself after nostalgically remembering how she met Kamui.
"And ever since then I got myself a thief who brazenly breaks into my shop in the early morning." She spoke loudly, making sure Kamui could hear her.
"Want me to stop breaking into your shop?" Kamui asked and she nodded.
"Ahahahah! There is an easy solution for it, (Y/N)."
"....What is it?" She asked and Kamui grinned.
"Marry me!"
".....No."
"Ehhhh." Kamui pouted, his ahoge tipping down seemingly sad as well.
He shrugged and went back to eating, "Guess I'll have to keep breaking in then."
Now, how much of an idiot was (Y/N) to reject such a handsome man's proposal to her?
She had no ill intentions— to be honest, Bisha-chan forced her to say no—
Ahem— She actually loved Kamui, but marrying was something that had never entered her mind.
Moreover, she had only known Kamui for about 7 months now— since their encounter and meeting.
Plus, it hadn't changed at all since before. The moment Kamui woke up after 3 days because of all those tranquilizer— he immediately proposed to her.
He muttered, "Marry me." In such a blatant, monotone and straightforward way that (Y/N) couldn't find the words to say.
But of course, she rejected him too back then.
Only because she wanted to say yes when—
(Y/N)'s eyes lowered to the ground when she remembered what day it was, 'Ah, that's right...they'll visit today.'
"(Y/N)?"
"Huh? Sorry, what?"
Kamui studied her face and scowled. "You're a bit spaced out today," He murmurs, "Need me to kill someone for you?" He happily smiled.
"No," (Y/N) smiled nervously, "—and don't suggest killing people so easily, Kamui."
She nervously looked at the clock— those men were about to come by any time now. She didn't want Kamui to meet them, things would definitely get ugly if he did.
"Say, Kamui. I need a few ingredients for dinner later....Would you mind buying some for me?" (Y/N) gently tugged on Kamui's sleeve.
"Sure," He nodded. "What do you need?"
"Everything from this list! Here's my wallet, take your time!!" (Y/N) grinned, quickly throwing her wallet and a piece of paper into Kamui's hands before shoving him out.
(Y/N) watched as Kamui walked down the streets with his umbrella up on his head— a small smile appearing on her lips.
Despite the way he acts and talks, he was still a sweet man deep down.
—The same man she fell in love with.
"What, were you expectin' us already?"
A scowl appears on (Y/N)'s lips on the next second, making it seem as if that angelic smile she had earlier was just a mirage.
She turns around and meets 3 guys who were smirking down on her figure.
"Brother still not back?" He mocked.
(Y/N) looked around and sighed, "Let's take this inside."
"Heh," The man scoffed, "Talk business when you can pay it, girlie.'' He rubbed his fingers together.
(Y/N) slid an envelope on the table, her face ever so stoic and emotionless.
The man immediately checks inside and scoffs before shoving it in his inner pockets, "That all?" He arched an eyebrow sassily at her.
"Your brother's debt isn't even near half of being paid back," The man leaned close and licked his lips. "—and if you're still unable to pay it back, we'll have no choice but to take you as payment.''
"Mr. Endo, please refrain from spewing threats." (Y/N) snapped back fiercely, "I am paying you based on what we agreed on a monthly basis." She stood up.
"—You already have what you came for, I'd appreciate it if you leave now. I still have work to do,"
"Tsk," The man clicked his tongue as he stood up, "The deal still stands. Sooner or later, I'll get you."
"—and as for your latter suggestion, never will I agree to that. So, don't you dare suggest it ever again."
Once the man and his lackeys disappeared, (Y/N) collapsed back down on the chair and brought her hands to her face.
—This was why she didn't agree to any of Kamui's proposals.
She had a debt to pay off.
Her older brother— had gotten into gambling. He sold everything off and loaned from many people— as soon as they started asking him to pay it back, he disappeared.
Everything fell on his responsible younger sister, (Y/N). She had to settle all the debts and pay it all back in place of her brother who ran off.
She couldn't abandon it all and run away like her brother did. So, she never agreed to Kamui's proposals.
—Because she knew saying yes would mean she had to go with him. Besides, she didn't want Kamui to learn of how an asshole her brother was or what big of a burden had been left on her shoulders.
"(Y/N), I'm back! Guess what, I ran into Abuto and made him pay for everything!"
"....This...—This really isn't fair," A silently crying Abuto followed behind Kamui.
"Oh? Abuto, Kamui." She weakly smiled and stood up, but Kamui stared hard at her.
"...Did something happen?'' His tone was hard, serious and stoic. Kamui wasn't kidding when he could get serious.
(Y/N) froze at his question, she didn't think he'd realize that something was bothering her. She aways made sure to never let it show whenever he was around.
Kamui could get a bit out of hand sometimes when it came to (Y/N).
—One time, a shinsengumi officer was about to enter her shop when Kamui pounced on the poor officer with brown hair and attacked him relentlessly.
"N-No. I was just thinking of how to cook dinner," She smiled and took the groceries from Kamui's arms.
"....Don't try to hide anything from me, (Y/N). I know you more than you think."
"Yes, yes. Go sit down, I'll make dessert."
Kamui's ahoge tingled and he immediately sat down.
But deep down inside him— he knew that there was something bothering (Y/N) and he was gonna investigate it.
'I'll bring down anyone that dares to harm my woman,'

"(Y/N), you're taking too long—"
Kamui paused when the door opened and a completely different man stood at it. Kamui's gaze hardened, his eyes widening in rage as he pointed his umbrella at the man.
He immediately realized that (Y/N) wasn't in her home— he was at least smart enough to figure that out.
"You lowlife—" He growled, giving them man the scariest glare his blue eyes could muster,
"—Where's my woman?"
"H-Hah! If you think an umbrella can hurt me, I'm not scared. Mr. Endo will—"
"—Will cry when I send your dismembered body back to them." Kamui cut him off and stood up, tilting his head slightly to the side.
Kamui furrowed his eyebroes deeper and fired a bullet from his umbrella, "Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you," He smiled sensing the man's fear double.
"I'm a kind man. In fact, I'm not gonna kill you!— I'm just gonna torture you,"
"What....am I doing here!?" (Y/N) looked around, she was tied to a wooden pole in a warehouse. But not too far from her she sees Mr. Endo and his men all inside it.
"This wasn't what we agreed on!" She growled at him, "I paid you like you asked!"
"Ah, that?" He laughed, "I got tired of waiting. Isn't this better? One time payment."
"No! I told you that I would never agree to it—"
"Shut up, slut." He slapped her, (Y/N) opened her eyes wide in disbelief before she turned back to him and spat right on his face.
"You little bitch—"
"—You're a dead man walking, I warn you." She lowered her voice, her (E/C) lighting up. "You won't walk out from here alive."
"Hah, look at her act so brave. No one's coming to—"
Suddenly, the large metal doors of the warehouse flew open— then came the yato dragging a limp body behind him.
"Yo!" Kamui raised his hand and smiled casually, as he threw the unconscious man's bloody figure in front of him.
"I saw this drunk man and asked him where he lived so I took him home, you're welcome!"
"—Drunk? He's beat up! Why did you beat hin up!?"
"Beat him up?" Kamui tilted his head and put on a confused face. "No, no. He just tripped on the way here! Hahahaha!"
"Kamui!!!" (Y/N) yelled for him, Kamui instantly looked back at where she was.
"(Y/N), I've been looking everywhere for you!" He grins and (Y/N) sighed in relief at the sight of him, "So, what do you want me to do with them?"
He asked her again, his usual killer-smile already on his lips as he placed one hand ln his hip and the other on his umbrella.
(Y/N) glared at Mr. Endo and scoffed, "Give them hell, Kamui!!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.
Kamui smirked and lowered his eyelids at the men who grew wary of him, "You heard my woman." He grins widely as he runs into the crowd of men with his hands clenched.
"Unfortunately, I'm a lovesick man who follows her every word!"
(Y/N) watched as Kamui flew into the crowd of men— sending some of them flying and knocking out a bit.
Everyone was clearly no match for Kamui— while Kamui seemed like he was having fun beating up all the men, the smile never disappeared from his lips.
But (Y/N) knew it wasn't the real smile Kamui always gave her— it was his murderous smile. But his blue eyes clearly mirrored the rage and anger he felt at seeing her all tied up.
In no time, Kamui had finished everyone off and went to untie (Y/N).
Kamui crouched down before her with a sigh, calmly untying the knots to free her. "This wouldn't happen if you just agreed to marry me," He pouted.
"Why did they kidnap you anyways?"
"....They wanted to take me as payment," (Y/N) looked down, ashamed. "My brother has a big debt which he left for me to pay off. It's.....why I never agree to your proposals."
Kamui stood there silent before he pointed to Mr. Endo who was knocked out on the ground missing 2 front teeth.
"He— was the reason you rejected me?" He asked agan in disbelief and she nodded.
"...They won't stop harassing me until I lay back every cent. I didn't want to bother you—"
"(Y/N), don't you trust me?"
"I-I do! S-So, if you could hold off proposing until I pay back everything— Kamui! What are you doing!?" (Y/N) gasped when she saw Kamui crouching beside Mr. Endo and continuously slapping his face.
"Wake up, you dog.'' Kamuu dead panned and Mr. Endo woke up.
"H-Huh? What?! Why are my teeth missing?!"
"Does she still have a debt to pay back or not?" Kamui asked him, pointing to (Y/N) qho tilted her head innocently.
"What?! Of course! She has to pay even with her body—"
Kamui slapped him.
"I'll ask again, haha!" He laughed and smiled darkly. "Does she still have a debt to pay or do you want to loose more teeth?"
Mr. Endo covered his mouth with hus hands and shook his head.
"Great! Hear that, (Y/N)?" Kamui grinned and turned to (Y/N), giving her an angelic smile.
"...I'm not sure that was legal but...if he says so...." (Y/N) shrugged, "Thank you, Kamui!"
"So, so—" Kamui paused and blinked his eyes expectantly at her. "Will you marry me now?~"
(Y/N) smiled at hin and turned away, "Still no~"
"Whaaaat? Why?" Kamui sulked, following after her.
"Kamui, do you trust me?"
Kamui arched an eyebrow, "Of course I do."
"Then, don't question it." She giggles, turning to him for a while before pressing her lips against his cheek. "That's for saving me,"
Then, she pressed her lips briefly against his lips.
"—and that's a secret." She winked and ran away.
Kamui stood there dumbfounded, but a smile was on his lips.
"Then, I'll never stop asking you to marry me!"

"Yes, yes. Now shut up, where is she?" Kamui growled at Sougo.
They were in the Shinsengumi's Interrogation room. Kamui shackled to the table and Sougo standing before him.
Seconds later, (Y/N) burst into the room clearly haggard and out of breath.
"S-Sorry, I'm here. W-What—" She paused and took a deep breath, "What did he do?" She turned to Sougo, asking for the details of what exactly happened and now it came to be that Kamui was arrested.
"I'm sorry, you are?—"
"His wife." (Y/N) growled, shooting Kamui a glare but he just grinned widely at her. "So, why was my husband arrested?"
"Well, he—" Sougo glanced at Kamui and huffed, "—Broke into a shop late in the morning. Your neighbors called in for us and we saw him breaking the door."
"Wait so....Kamui was arrested for—?"
"—Breaking into a restaraunt."
(Y/N) face palmed and groaned, "Okay uh..." She started off, "He owns the restaraunt."
"....What?"
"—Kamui! I told you to stop breaking into our restaraunt! What is wrong with you?"
"—My wife is energetic isn't she?" Kamui laughed, "It's a habit. I couldn't help myself." He grinned at her.
"Oh gosh, can you please stop breaking in our restaraunt!? I got scared when I heard you were arrested!!"
"Ahahahah! It's not that big of a deal! Don't you trust me?"
"I do, but—Abuto was crying!"
"...He's a wimp."

The title is dumb. I've been losing my creativity these past few days— is it because of lack of sleep? Is it because I have too many work to do? Is it because I love Gilgamesh and dedicate my entire being to him? (I don't know about you guys, but I think it's the ladt one 👀)
Well, my heart may be with FGO and Gilgamesh right now, but my mind is always thinking of Gintama!!
