It was always us three, Colby, myself, and Brennen. I'm Colby's younger sister, but him and I have always been close. And being close to him, means being close to all of his friends. Including Brennen. Brennen's and I's friendship is interesting and confusing to say the least. Now obviously I was introduced to him as Colby's little sister, and for a long time that's all his and I's relationship was. We've been friends for a longtime. There's always been moments where I think we could be more, but then I realize that he'll always only see me as Colby's little sister. Like when we all experienced that clown sighting thing. It was a weird thing, when the clown showed up, Brennen instantly grabbed a hold of my hand and held it the whole time. When we were in the car, he was holding me tightly. And when we got back to his apartment he was holding me. I did move over and hugged Colby, because he knows I am terrified of clowns. They are my biggest fear.
But then I remember, it always hurts, but I remember that Brennen will never see me more than just Colby's little sister. And maybe that's a good thing, but I wish it wasn't the case. As you can tell by how I'm talking I'm attracted to him. So it's hard, it's always been hard. It truly does suck having the guy you like only see you as their best friend's little sister. It sucks a lot, but in all honesty I need to get to that point of being okay with it. Because it's obvious that he will never see me more than just Colby's little sister.
It's like one day he's into me the next day he's not. And truly I don't understand, so maybe I just need to forget about it. Just remember that he'll never be into you. He'll never be into you. Fans ship us quiet a lot, like a lot. And then there's others that don't.
Brennen's P.O.V.
The door opens and Kat, Tara, and Y/n walk in laughing with each other. Y/n, God she is practically perfect. But she doesn't like me like that, you know, and plus she's Colby's little sister. " Why are you guys laughing so hard? " Colby asks, kinda wanting to be in on the inside joke.
" She- " Kat tried to begin but just stopped because she continued laughing.
" He- he looked at me like I was crazy, " Y/n comments chuckling.
" What did you do? " I ask her, she just continues laughing.
" There was this guy that came up to the three of us. And started talking to us, and then started like flirting hardcore with Y/n, " Tara comments.
" He was not flirting, " Y/n states.
" Yes he was! " Kat screams. " This dude says 'hey beautiful, I'm a photographer cause I can already see our kids'. And this girl said 'I already have a 2 year old so no I don't think so, " she adds.
" And then! And then! He asked how she was, and she said she was 16! " Tara screams, which causes the two of them to laugh even more. Y/n just smiles and comes and sits down on the couch next to me.
" I mean he doesn't need to know that I lied about my age and having a child, " Y/n then says, she looks over at me and smiles. I smile back to her, and then we all begin to calm down from the craziness that is those three girls.
" Jake cockblocked me, " Colby comments.
" You have to be able to have the ability to get girls first to be able to be cockblocked brother, " Y/n comments. Colby begins to run over, and she moves on top of me and moves me and uses me as a human shield.
" Why?! Why am I in the middle of this?! " I ask.
" Cause he'll never hurt you, and you won't let him hurt me, " she comments, I give her a nod.
" You're more upset cause you know it's true! " Y/n then says.
" Y/n you keep on saying stuff like that I will feed you to the beast, " I tell her. I look back at her and she has a hurt look written on her face.
" You wouldn't do that to me, " she whispers. I look into her eyes and slowly start leaning in. And in that moment she was grabbed. " YOU TRAITOR! " She screams. I watch as Colby takes her. I look at Sam just smiling at me.
" Don't give me that look, " I tell him sitting down.
" I'm giving you that look cause you know exactly what I'm thinking. If you're going to try and kiss her, at least do it when Colby isn't around, " he tells me. I shake my head towards him. We hear a scream and Y/n running back in, and she hides behind the two of us.
" Colby you alright?! " Sam asks.
" She kicked me in the balls! " He screams, Sam gets up, and I look at her in shock.
" It was on accident I swear, " she comments. I move closer to her and begin tickling her. And she instantly tries to get away, and eventually it's us on the floor me on top of her. " Please don't tickle me, please don't, " she adds.
" I won't, " I tell her. " Colby! I got her! " I scream. She looks at me with her mouth wide open.
" You're breaking our relationship as you speak, " she mutters. I lean down by her ear, and I hear her slightly gasp.
" You can get payback later, when we're alone, " I whisper. She slightly moans from the comment and I smile. I always try to flirt with her.
" PERFECT! " I hear Colby yell. I move a little back, and Colby just starts tickling her. Which I just begin to laugh, and I can see Sam filming so that's even better.
" This is a really weird porno, " Jake comments.
" Jake?! That's my little sister! " Colby yells, he gets up and I then follow and help her up. " Don't make fun of me again, " Colby says towards Y/n. She just shakes her head walking away to talk to Kat.
Later that night when I am heading to my car I hear someone following me, and I know it's Y/n. Before I even reach my car, Y/n grabs a hold of my shirt and pulls me back. " Kiss me, " she states. That's all she said, which caught me off guard. And I can tell by her facial expression she didn't think she would actually say it.
" Here? " I ask her, out of all of the questions that is the question I asked. Like what? She nods towards me, and I lean in and kiss her. Nothing big nothing dramatic I just kissed her. And she kissed back. This is the first time her and I have ever kissed each other. It was nice, it was enjoyable. I like kissing her. Once I moved away she looked at me and smiled. And walked back into the house, what the hell just happened? I got into my car and received a text, and it was from her. It reading, come over tonight. And that's it.
What are we getting ourselves into, I like it, but what are we getting ourselves into.
Y/n's P.O.V.
It's currently 11:45, I shouldn't have texted him that. Come on, why would he ever come over. He probably only kissed me, because I told him to. I towards my room when I heard a knock, and I stopped. The knock happened again, and I walked over. And unlocked the door, and opened it to him. " Honestly thought you weren't coming, " I tell him. I move out of the way to let him walk in.
" I don't think I've ever been in your apartment without Colby with me, " he tells me. I give him a slight nod. " I probably shouldn't mention him, I'm sorry I don't truly know what to do. I'm very nervous right now, " he adds. I lightly chuckle towards him walking pass him to go get a drink.
" Do you want anything to drink? " I ask him. He looks over at me, and shakes his head. " You know you said I could get payback, so I want to get payback, " I add towards him. Where is this side coming from?
" Payback huh? " He asks me, there's the confidence. He begins to walk towards me and blocks me in between my counter and him. And there goes my confidence. " So where's this payback that you speak of? " He asks me.
" In... in my room, " I stutter, come on out of all of the times you could have stuttered this is the time where you stuttered. He quickly moved in and we started kissing. It practically immediately becoming more intense and heavy. He picked me up, and started walking towards my room. Once we got to my room, and he closed the door. He tossed me onto my bed, and started taking off his shirt. And I quickly started taking mine off as well. He moved towards me, and we started kissing again.
It becoming more and more as the night went on, and now I'm laying on my bed under the sheets covering my body looking up at the ceiling. I just slept with my one of my brother's best friends. Like I enjoyed it a lot, and I would love to do it again, but I just slept with one of my brother's best friends. " You're thinking to much, " I hear him mutter towards me.
" What? " I ask turning to face him. He stretches his arm over, and moves me closer to me so I'm laying on his chest. He moves his arm in, and wraps it around my waist.
" You're thinking to much, " he says again. " Whatever is going on in that beautiful mind, you're thinking to much. Okay? " He tells/asks me. I nod in his chest. " We'll figure whatever we are out soon, and we'll figure it out, " he adds. I give him another nod. I look up at him, and he looks down at me. I lean in and kiss him which he obviously kisses back. " Try to get some sleep, " he whispers to me.
He looks at me, he must have heard me move. " Colby doesn't have to find out, " I tell him as I stand up, he straightens up because of my comment. " You don't have to say anything, I can read your face. I can tell from how you're acting now that last night was just a spur of the moment or a weak moment for you, " I add.
" Why are you acting like I didn't enjoy last night? " He asks me, I look at him as I begin to put on a shirt. I don't say anything, and he walks over to me grabbing a hold of my hands. " I enjoyed last night, and I would love to do it again. Don't try to act like I didn't enjoy what happened between the two of us last night, because I most certainly enjoyed it, " he tells me, I nod at him. " I would love to take you out on a date, but it's not going to be a usual date since it's the whole situation of Colby being your older brother, " he adds.
" So you want to hide us? " I ask trying to act like I'm not hurt. I think he can notice that I am hurt by him saying that.
" At first yes, but I like you. I think that was shown last night, I think that's been shown in the videos of us together. And I'm not stupid, I know you feel the same way. But for our safety at first let's keep us a secret, " he tells me. I slightly nod towards him. He kisses me on the forehead and pulls me into a hug.
And that went on for years, we started dating back in 2017 and now it's 2021. We've been dating for 4 years now, and no one knows. It still is kinda frustrating to knows. Well a few people do, but not many. Brennen has been acting weird lately, and I'm not sure why. We're currently at my apartment getting ready before going over to the boys' house. I think we're just ping over to hangout which is always fun. " Hey Brennen, " I comment, he walks in with a frown on his face. Something is wrong. " What's wrong? " I ask him.
" Why do you- " I stop him. " I know something is wrong, so tell me what's wrong, " I comment.
" I've just been thinking a lot about our relationship lately, " he comments. I give him a nod. " And I-I don't know, maybe we should stop, " he adds. When I tell you I felt my heart break, I felt it break into a million pieces.
" Stop for like what? " I ask him.
" Stop for like ever, " he tells me, there we go again my heart breaking.
" Brennen, why are you breaking up with me? " I ask as tears start to form. " If it's something I did tell me so I can try and fix it, " I add, he shakes his head.
" It's nothing to do with you, it's just... that's how I've been feeling, " he states.
" So that's it? You're going to throw away 4 years of a relationship? 4 years?! " I ask him.
" Y/n don't make this harder than it already is, " he tells me, I walk towards him grabbing a hold of his hands placing them on my cheeks.
" Brennen please don't do this, please I beg you don't break my heart, " I tell him. I watch as tears begin to roll down my face.
" I'm sorry, but I can't do this anymore, " he mutters. He removes himself from me, and begins to walk away.
" Brennen! Brennen! " I scream again, he doesn't listen and he just walks out. Leaving me there in complete shock.
I didn't leave my apartment for 4 days, nothing, Kat had come over forcing me to shower, drink water, everything. But now we're going over to the boys' house to play hide and seek.
" Do you think you can put on a smile today? " She asks, I give her a nod. I'm still crying a little bit. She grabs a hold of my hand, and tears beginning to fall.
" I just, I don't understand. It was out of the blue, and everything and he didn't even give me a reason, " I mutter towards her. She just soothes me the whole way to the house. And I now have to face him, and act like nothing happened. That doesn't mean I have to talk to him, and if it gets bad just say you're not feeling well. But of course the minute we walk in colby and him are chatting in the living room. And both look over at me. I don't look healthy I know that, but them looking at me I know I don't look healthy.
I just walk pass them going to the kitchen, and I hear someone following me. I don't want it to be either of them, and when I turn it's Brennen. I just grab something from the fridge, and he continues watching me. " What? " I ask him.
" You.. " he begins. Colby walks in behind him. Oh great.
" When's the last time you ate? " Colby asks.
" Last night, " I comment. " Thanks for telling me I look bad Colby, just because I'm not wearing makeup doesn't mean I'm going through something, " I add becoming pissed off. Now of course I know I'm going through something. Come on I'm looking at the game that I was in love with since before I even started dating him. I look at Brennen as he looks down at the ground. " I need to hear the rules from Sam, " I add walking away from the two of us. I grab a hold of Kat and she just hugs me. " Please stay with me, " I whisper. She gives me a nod.
Colby's P.O.V.
We're all talking in the backyard when Cassie comes running in. Reggie instantly gets up due to the fact that she's crying. " What's wrong? " Reggie asks.
" SAM! COLBY! " We then hear Kat scream.
" Y/n, " she whispers. We all get up running in seeing her laying on the floor.
" Come on Y/n wake up, wake up, " Kat cries. I instantly run over to her.
" Kat what happened? " I ask.
" I heard something fall, and when I turned around it was her, " she mutters.
The next 3 hours were the scariest 3 hours of my life, just waiting and waiting and waiting to see if she was alright. We had a friend who's in the medical field come over and look over her. We're not trying to go to the hospital if it's not needed. She walks in with a look on her face we couldn't really read what happened. " How is she? " Sam asks.
" She's awake, she's very dehydrated, from what it seems is she hasn't eaten in 4 days. Someone make her soup, because it's scary. My suggestion is something happened, something dramatic. She went into an episode, luckily she was here with you guys. If she wasn't, I don't know what could have happened, " Y/f/n says. I look over at Brennen as he has his face in his hands, and has his elbows resting on his knees. I walk over sitting next to him.
" This isn't your fault, " I mutter. He looks over at me, and I see his tear stained face and red eyes.
" Not my fault? No it's both of ares. You're the reason I broke up with her, and that was 4 days ago. And Y/f/n just said she probably hadn't eaten or drank in the past 4 days. Colby this is all my fault, " he tells me. " I'm sorry I didn't tell you, okay... but you can't control who you fall in love with Colby. I've been in love with her for the past 4 years, " he adds.
" Brennen, " I begin.
" You forced him to break up with her? " I look up to see Kat standing there with Tara by her. Cassie holding onto Y/n. " Colby are you serious? " She asks.
" I'm gonna throw up, " Y/n mutters. I begin to stand up. But Brennen stops me, and shakes my head. Cassie walks her out, and Kat stands there in shock.
" It was for her own good, " I tell her.
" So how she is now is for her own good?! " Kat asks frustrated. " Brennen made her happy, I don't know about you but this is the happiest I have seen her in so long. And you ripped that away from her! She deserves to be happy, and it Brennen is right. You can't control who you fall in love with, they deserve each other. They deserve to be happy, " she adds.
" Kat, " Sam says trying to calm her down.
" What's so bad about your best friend dating your sister? They've been together for 4 years, they've been overly happy for 4 years. Brennen why did you listen to him? " Kat asks.
" Because I don't deserve her, she deserves someone better than me, " Brennen says.
" No she doesn't. She deserves you, you're a great person and you're good to her, " Tara says.
" I still can't believe you forced him to breakup with her, have you seen the memories on her phone with them two. It's the cutest thing, " Kat says. I shake my head, she walks out and comes back with her phone. And shows me the many, many, many photos. Then a video comes up. It's them dancing in her living room, and they're just laughing while having a good time.
" I'm an idiot aren't I? " I ask, they all nod towards me. I turn to Brennen as he stands there silently. " Go get her, tell her it was my fault, " I add. Brennen goes forward going to find Y/n, they went outside and we watched them talk. But eventually they kissed.
2023...
" So honestly I practically ruined you guys relationship for 4 days, but watching you guys be in love was the best thing I could ever experience. And honestly I was a complete idiot to not think Brennen wouldn't treat my little sister right. So congratulations on the years from the past, and for all of the years in the future. I love you guys both, congratulations, " I tell them. We all toast and begin to celebrate. They got married, and I'm happy they did. Man was I an idiot to think he would be terrible for her. Because truly they are perfect for each other. And I couldn't be happier for a brother-in-law.
