Niall's POV

My hands are shaking, my lips are trembling and I just can't get control of myself.

"Calm down, Nialler, I don't know why you're getting all freaked out," Harry attempts to calm me down while I wait for Allyson to come out to the kitchen so we can go walk out to the patio leading up to the beach where I have my surprise waiting for her.

"What if she doesn't like it? It's her birthday it has to be perfect...I feel like I'm gonna t'row up," I look around nervously outside. I can barely see the lit candles lined up on the beach that Jordan and Harry helped me set up while Allyson and Morgan were eating the Chinese food we ordered them for lunch.

"Niall," Harry places his hands over mine to stop their fidgeting, and my knee stops bouncing, "Allyson loves you, so much. Don't worry, everything will be fine," he tells me, looking straight into my eyes with genuine care and honesty.

"Thank you," I tell him, but my heart is still racing five million miles an hour.

Allyson's POV

I throw on one of Niall's sweatshirts that he gave me to wear the other day, because I'm getting a bit chilly as the night progresses. Plus, Niall said he wanted to spend some time with me out on the beach to watch the sunset for my birthday grand finale. He assured me it was "California style".

Morgan already gave me a gift earlier, which is an old scrapbook we made when I turned 16 years old. It was hilarious looking back at the pictures we glued in, and the notes we wrote all over it. There were even scribbled stories, and descriptions of our "dream guys". It was funny, because we both wrote our celebrity crushes including Brad Pitt, Justin Bieber, Mark Wahlberg, and a few others. It's funny how things worked out today. Little 16 year old versions of us would freak out if they knew about what is happening with our lives today.

"Do you ever wonder if any of the songs on their new album is about you?" Morgan asks me as she sits on my guest bed while I try to clean up some of my stuff, to neaten the room a bit.

"Well, Niall told me a while ago that one song was inspired by me. But I still don't know which one," I tell her as I place paint brushes back into my cases.

"He loves you so much Al. I'm so happy for you," she says.

"Harry will probably write one about you, and believe me, you will know it," I say, and almost slip out the fact that I found his lyric book the other day, but stop myself. That's something personal I don't ever want to reveal.

"I don't know. Maybe? I don't know," she speaks half to herself and half to me as she contemplates.

"How are you guys by the way?" I ask her, since we don't really get to have private times to talk about these things as we are staying with the boys.

"He asked me to be his girlfriend last night," she blushes, biting her lip as I jump up with joy.

"What? No way! That's awesome! I'm so happy for you," I smile at her. But deep away in my stomach a pang of hurt sets off, as Harry and Morgan are now a couple but Niall and I remain nothing but friends. I wonder if we will become boyfriend-girlfriend again, because I really hope so.
