"That was the most delicious meal I have ever eaten," I admit, placing my fork in the bowl of pasta that I just completely devoured.

Niall chuckles. He finished minutes before me. I thought I was a fast eater, until I saw Niall scarf down all of that spaghetti in what seemed like two seconds.

"Once I get the check we can head out," he says and I nod my head. He takes out his wallet and I can't help but stare at the cash pouring out of it. I quickly avert my eyes to the window, to avoid him noticing my staring.

I should really consider getting some musical talent and joining a boy-band.

He takes out a couple of one hundred dollar bills, which to be honest surprises me. I assume he would only carry Euros, since he is in fact from Europe. But I guess he converted some of his money when he came to the States.

I wonder how long he has been here. Here as in America. Or maybe he just came to Boston. Why Boston? And why would his whole band fly out here from Europe, just to come here?

"Why are you here?" I blurt out, and quickly regret my sudden curiosity.

He furrows his eyebrows, "Uh, do you want me to leave?"

I shake my head and feel my cheeks heat up, "Oh no! Of course not. That's not what I meant. I did mean, why are you here? Wait I said that before. I really mean, why are you in Boston? I mean you are from Ireland and that's at pretty cool place, and out of everywhere else in the world why America? And even so, Boston isn't the best scenery. I would at least go to California instead," I say, I wonder if he can sense my awkwardness that seems to just flow off me. I don't know why I am acting so nervous all of a sudden.

"I'm on tour, and we are ending in Boston. America was our last stop. I actually just came from Japan which was pretty sugoi!" He says and I'm embarrassed at my prying. That makes a lot more sense than my rambling thoughts did.

"Sugoi?" I ask, confused at his word choice and trying to change the topic slightly.

"Cool in Japanese. Or cupcake. I can't remember which," he explains.

"I hope you enjoyed your meal," Emma says with a wink and I didn't even notice her arrival.

"I did, thanks. It was scrumptious," Niall says, eyeing me throughout the conversation. Probably making sure he isn't screwing up or something. I took his word of not flirting with her before, so he doesn't have to worry.

"Well I am happy then. Hope you aren't full, 'cause there's always later," Emma says and puts the check on the table and I can't help but burst into laughing.

Right when the words spill from her mouth, Niall's jaw drops and I swear his eyes are wider than the moon. He stares at the check and I can see a small piece of paper sticking out of the book.

"And you thought it was just a friendly chat," I say between laughs. "Your face right now, is priceless."

"I-" he manages to choke out, but can't speak the rest of his sentence.

He finally opens the book and pushes aside the paper. Normally, I would grab it and read whatever smut she wrote, but after my prying earlier, I decide against it.

He places the bills inside the check and signs. Wow, for only two bowls of spaghetti and meat balls, a salad that I also asked for later, Niall's garlic bread, my ginger ale refills and his beers, I still wouldn't expect it to be that expensive.

I don't catch a glimpse at the final amount, but he does put two one hundred dollar bills inside the book. Niall opens the note Emma left and quickly puts it back on the table. This makes me smirk.

"Let's head out of here," he offers and I agree, feeling good that he chose me over that skank.

I don't even know the girl, why am I calling her a skank? What has gotten into me.
