My head immediately snaps towards Niall's whose does the same. Our eye contact locks and although we are both frozen, I know time isn't.

"Should I take that as a yes, mate?" Louis laughs.

"No, no we aren't dating," Niall answers, still looking at me dead in the eye.

That's when everything in me seems to fall and break into smaller pieces, even more broken than they were before. And to think that there was a pain more excruciating than getting hit by a truck and having your car flipped over. I would take that again over this.

Louis only nods, but I can see him only out of the corner of my eye as I stare at the thin white sheets blanketing over me. Well, whatever is left.

I finish up my coffee as everyone else does so too. The muffled sounds of slurping are the only noises in the room.

After a few minutes, Louis, Zayn and Liam suggest they get going before a real medic comes in. A million goodbyes later, they are gone leaving Morgan, Harry, Niall and I.

"So where are you gonna get to come home?" Morgan asks when the silence goes on for an awkward amount of time.

"Hopefully soon," I answer, as Niall opens his mouth to do so, but closes it.

Then silence over comes the small chatter again and everyone is just avoiding eye contact. Harry looks over at Morgan and they exchange a few glances before looking away again.

Dr.Jammeson comes into the room, and I take a quick concussion test on a miniature laptop. He tells me it isn't going to be completely accurate, but it will give them an idea when compared to other people's averages. It is simple mind games with memorization and simple addition and subtraction. My results will be back momentarily, and with that information Dr.Jammeson leaves again after strapping a large brace on my foot.

My eyes grow groggy and I feel tired once again. Today has been a long day. Even though it is only the morning.

"Niall, I know this isn't the greatest time but you are aware we have to rehearse later, right?" Harry speaks up.

Niall puts his face in his hands and lets out an exasperated breath of air, while rubbing his eyes.

"Ye, I'm aware," Niall answers.

"It's at the big sports complex area thingy ma jig or whatever it's called. It's not 'til later but I just wanted to give you a heads up," Harry says but Niall doesn't respond. He only stares at the dusty tiled floor.

"Harry wanted me to show him around the area a little more today before they leave again, since they are busy for the rest of their little trip. So I guess we will do that now," Morgan says, looking at me at first, but then changing her focus to on Harry who holds his gaze right back on her.

They are leaving soon? And are busy for the rest of their trip? Why is this the first time I am hearing this? My heart swells slightly, but I don't think anymore damage to myself is even physically, emotionally, or mentally possible.

"Get better soon, Al," Harry says with a wave and Morgan smiles at me before leaving.

I look over at Niall who doesn't even flinch up from his stare that remains at the floor.
