SCRRRREEEECH

I cringed as the ear-splitting sound of the ladder scratching against the ground echoed through the yard.

Am I good?

No one heard?

Good.

I'm not 100% supposed to be out at this time, for I have a match against Dedede and Inkling in the morning, but to be honest, I dont really care.

I just want a little fresh air before I go in for the night.

I climbed up the ladder, and sat down on the roof of the small "shed" thingimagig at the side of the mansion. 

I like going up there, it's not as small as a normal shed, but it's still small compared to the humongous Smash Mansion.

I did a few breathing exercises Wii Fit Trainer taught me.

That was when something sat beside me.

"Wassup, Buttercup?" The blue hedgehog said to me.

I turned my gaze over to him, and my cheeks dusted a light pink, and I smiled softly at him.

"Hi, Sonic!"

"You have that match in the morning, right? How come you're out here so late?" He asked me.

I sighed, clearly making him more concerned.

"Trynna... get my mind off of things." I replied.

I felt his hand on my shoulder.

"Everything ok?"

"Yup! All good! You don't need to worry about me, Sonic!" I told him.

"That just makes me think you're not ok even more."

Sonic slid his hand from my shoulder to around my waist.

I could feel the colour rise to my face.

"You can tell me anything, y'know." He pulled me closer to him, making me blush more.

I sighed again.

Sonic is extremely worthy, but I'm just afraid he'll push me away once I tell him about...it...

"You promise you'll stay with me?" I whispered to him.

"Of course."

I snuggled my head in to his chest, feeling more comfortable.

"Pick a random female smasher." ((Y/N))

"Uh... Samus." (Sonic)

"Compare her to me." ((Y/N))

"You mean, what's different between you and her?" (Sonic)

"Mhm." ((Y/N))

"Uh... she doesn't show her face a lot... you're calmer... you're both from different games..." (Sonic)

"Now, the difference between me and Daisy." ((Y/N))

"You have better reflexes... umm..." (Sonic)

"The difference between me and Isabelle?" ((Y/N))

"Isabelle?" (Sonic)

"I don't think you get the point." I said finally.

"No, not really. Can you explain it to me?" He replied.

"Everyone we just mentioned has an actual purpose."
