Sleep is a wonderful thing. You get to escape the stress of the real world and experience something magical. Most people dream about becoming a superhero or becoming a wizard or speaking to animals. I dream about having a normal life. In my dreams, I am a normal fifteen-year-old girl with a Dad that's not trying to take over the world, a Mother that actually sticks around, a brother that doesn't magically age five years, and a boyfriend who isn't a crime fighting Ninja. This is the world I desire because unlike most people, that is not the world I live in.

Today, my dream was disturbed. A normal family vacation that consisted of the beach, swim suites, and sunburn was interrupted by yells and shouts outside my door. Normally, I'm awake way before them; however, this past week I've been sleeping in. I don't know why, but I find myself insanely tired. I don't know if its the affects of time travel or feverously pushing my body to its limits for eight years straight, but all I want to do is sleep. But when you live with five teenage boys, it's hard to come by.

With a heavy groan, I climb out of bed and throw open the door. Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane are laughing as the push Lloyd down the hallway.

"What the hell are you guys doing?" I shout, crossing my arms.

"Lloyd has to clean up Dragon poop," Kai replies overenthusiastically.

"Again? Come on, he's fifteen now, you cant dump all your chores on him anymore," I say.

"We didn't. We did rock, paper, clamp," Jay says as if it was obvious.

I roll my eyes, but follow them out onto the deck and down to the roof of our old apartment, which is where the dragon stays. Lloyd begins to shovel up the massive piles of feces while the other four watch and laugh. I stand next to Kai, arms crossed over my chest.

"I always have to do the dirty work," Lloyd groans.

"Hey, having a pet Dragon requires a lot of responsibility," Cole scolds.

"Didn't your mom ever let you have a pet?" Jay asks.

I stiffen and so does Lloyd.

"I don't remember my mother. She abandoned me when I was really young," my brother says, eyes locked onto the ground.

Kai glances between Lloyd and I. "She just left? Who took care of you?"

"I spent my whole life at Darkley's boarding school," Lloyd replies half heartedly.

"My dad took me to the Underworld three years after she left. Before that I was at Darkley's with Lloyd," I explain.

"Hey! I have a mission for you guys!" Nya exclaims, rushing towards us. "It's the Museum of Ninjago! They've asked for you guys! Something really strange has happened!"

"What?" Kai asks.

"You'll have to see it to believe it," Nya replies.

The six of us rush back towards the bounty, leaving Nya behind to clean up the dragon poop.

Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Lloyd, Uncle Wu, and I arrive at the museum to see the Curator pacing at the door. We approach cautiously, and when he spots us he visibly relaxes.

"Oh, thank heaven's you're here!" he sighs.

"We heard there was an emergency," Uncle says.

The Curator nods. "Yes, come, come."

The Curator leads us into the Museum. Most of the exhibits look perfectly fine, nothing seems stolen, and everything is intact. At the very back of the building is a closed door, which happens to be the door we stop outside of.
