Cole puts a hand on my shoulder. "Hey, Tasha. He didn't mean it. You know that, right?"

I shrug it off and stare at the ground. "He's right though. When this is all over, we will be on different sides. So why bother being friends."

"Surely, you don't mean that," Zane says, reaching towards me.

I take a step back. "I am evil. Nothing can change that."

I quickly turn and walk away before they can say anything else. They wont understand. They could never understand. None of them know how I feel about Kai. Not even Kai knows how I feel about him. Therefore, none of them could understand how much this hurts. I never thought I'd fall for a good guy. Heck, I never thought I'd fall for anyone at all. That's what makes this all so hard. I let feelings get in the way. This is exactly what my father feared would happen.

"Looks like Pythor is at the Temple of Fire," Nya says, pulling up a picture of the Volcano.

"That means the Fangblade is there," Kai replies.

"And Lloyd," I add. I can feel his stare burning holes into my side. I resist the temptation to look.

"That's the same Fire Temple were Kai and Lord Garmadon first faced off," Jay says.

"If my memory serves me correct, I'd say one of us cheated back when we last fought," Kai growls.

"And I remember someone needing their Sensei to save them," My dad replies icily.

Cole Groans. "Guys! For the sake of the Fangblade and Lloyd, can we please just get along?"

"Since the last time we've been there, it looks like the volcano has grown unstable," Nya continues. "The place is a power keg just waiting to blow up. This will be a highly combustible environment."

Jay sighs exasperatedly. "Oh, great. Just what I like. Fighting armed and deadly snakes in a highly combustible environment about to blow up!"

"We will do what we must," Uncle Wu says.

"Yes, Sensei. But where are our weapons?" Zane asks.

"And why is Lord Garmadon not here?" Kai shouts. He runs out of the room in search of my Father.

"Kai!" Uncle shouts.

"Idiot!" I yell, turning to charge after him.

Cole grabs my hand, holding me back. "You'll just make it worse," he says.

I open my mouth to protest, then close it again. He is right, I'll only make Kai madder. If I rush to my father's rescue, he'll trust me even less than he already does. The best thing for me to do is stay here... Screw it. I am an irrational person, especially when those I care about are in danger. I let Cole think I've made the smart decision, then when he puts his guard down, I push him to the ground and run.

"Tasha! No!" I hear my Uncle shout, but I keep running.

"This ends now!" I hear Kai shout.

"Indeed!" My Father hisses back.

I follow their voices and rush into the room just in time to see Kai and my father wrestling on the floor. I kick Kai off my father and haul my dad to his feet. Kai stares at me in disbelief. He shakes his head and hardens his gaze.

"Traitor," he growls.

"Not traitor. Loyal. Loyal to family," I reply, grabbing my Father's hand.

"I thought we were family," he says. My mouth falls open and my breath hitches. I'm quickly pulled out of my shocked state when Kai lunges towards us.
