The celebration from Gryffindors of winning the quidditch cup lasted for about a week before they finally calmed down
However with quidditch season over it also meant end of year exams were coming. Luckily I was doing really good this year in grades from being helped by Hermione along the year and just recapping certain information every now and then
Fortunately this also meant that summer was coming therefore the days were getting brighter but temperature wise, well were in Scotland, so it's less likely weather for shorts and vests until I get back home
I was sitting in my dorm alone. Luna and Ginny went to study but I didn't tag along
For many weeks now the memory of my mother kept dawning on me. So I found a picture of her at the bottom of my trunk. It was taken when I was 5 so two years before she died. We were both so happy back then. It was a time where I didn't hold grief in my arms. Her smile was radiating and exact to mine. I smiled at the photo. My mum was my guardian angel whether she was alive or dead I knew she was always with me
"Hey mum" I said to the empty room and looked up to the ceiling "I miss you"
I shifted my gaze back to the photo. This time however I looked at my mothers eyes. Her grey eyes were similar to the man in the dream and to...Padfoot's. What the hell? What is going on?
I knew the first wise decision to make was to go to Professor Lupin. He was the only one who knew about the dream. And he knew who these people were so I'm going to get my answers
I grabbed my jean jacket and threw it on. Made sure my hair was tied back and checked to see if my laces had come undone or not
I left the Ravenclaw tower and made my way to Professor Lupins office. On my way through the corridors I bumped into Dumbledore"Good evening Headmaster" I greeted him
"Well hello Miss Rayden" He responded "What brings you out at this time?"
Shit
"I was just going to pay a visit to Professor Lupin to..uh..ask him about something he mentioned in class"
"I see"
Shit he can see through my lies
"Well don't stay out too late and be careful if you leave the castle tonight"
"Yeah I will sir" I told him "Well I best be going, Goodbye Headmaster"
"Goodbye Miss Rayden"
We both went out separate ways. I was walking till I realised. How the heck does he know I might go out tonight? What is this guy he is like a mind reader or can see into the future? Like he knows what's going on anywhere in the school
When I'm about two corridors away I hear a person striding down the hall. Quickly I jump into the shadows. Walking past is Professor Snape. Why was he up here and not in his office. Once he disappeared I crept back out and made my way to Lupins office
As I got there I knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked again incase they didn't hear the first time. Still no answer. So I turned the door handle slightly. It was unlocked. Slowly I pushed the door open. The room was empty so I slowly made my way up the stairs to his office. I did another knock incase he was actually in there. Yet again not answer. Carefully I moved the door and his office was empty. No one was in there. I was about to turn around until I noticed a map on the table
Slyly I checked to make sure no one was coming and made my way further into the room. This map was open and it had everyone on the map. I found my name in his office and took a quick walk around the table. It seemed to follow every step. I looked at the corridors and saw Mr Filch's name tag as well as Mrs Norris seemed to have one as well
This time I looked for Professor Lupin's name so I could talk to him. As I scanned the parchment I saw Snape's label walking down towards the whomping willow. What the hell? I looked over and saw Lupin in the Shrieking Shack accompanied by Sirius Black. Wait what! I also noticed that Harry, Hermione and Ron's name were there as well including someone named Peter Pettigrew. I looked more. Where was Padfoot?
Shit
Shit
Shit
These people were trying to get themselves killed I swear
I took one last glance and ran out the office
I sprinted through the corridors checking each corner for any teachers and/or students. Luckily it was all clear. I ran out and down the hill. Thankfully I was wearing trainers so it was easier to run. However the were white so I was already betting myself that I'm going to have to clean it when I get back
One I made it to the whomping willow I threw a rock to pause the violent behaviour of the tree. I ducked down into the tunnel and quickly paced down it. As I reached the steps up to the house I slowly opened the door. I could hear mumbling from upstairs. Why the fuck do they need to be, out of all the rooms, in Padfoot's one for? I slowly made my way up the stair and towards the room
I stood in the doorway as they all turned to face me
"Ophelia what are you doing here?" Harry questioned
"Miss Rayden I'm going to have to ask you to leave"
I glared at them all and took out my wand
"Where the hell is Padfoot?"
