CHAPTER FIVE
═══════════════

A few weeks had passed, bringing September to a close. The weather began becoming colder resulting in cardigans needing to be added onto the list of uniform

Apart from school, nothing in the daily prophet shared anything new about the fugitives whereabouts. It seemed as if he had disappeared off the raider and seeking shelter somewhere unknown

Ophelia had spent her free time in many different ways. Whether it was in the library, completing homework with the girls. Perhaps strolling around the castle to clear her thoughts. Otherwise just endlessly drawing or painting to block out reality

She was wandering around the castle feeling content with how the past weeks had been. Her mind wandered to her fathers recent letter which was in response to hers. A particular section of it replayed in her thoughts, making her grow unknowingly suspicious

'I don't know anything about this Sirius Black' The letter had wrote clearly 'But if he approaches you, you run. If he tries to persuade you, you don't listen. You hear me Ophelia! Do not engage with this criminal'

Now that was what ticked her mind off. How would he think that the criminal would attempt to persuade her, let alone approach her. None of it added up expect the fact that there was obviously something linked to this. Something yet to discover that wouldn't come around for some months now

Ophelia jumps when she realised that she had climbed to the top of the Astronomy tower and most definitely was not alone. Standing be the railings was Harry Potter who turned when he heard her come up. It became an awkward encounter as neither were unsure what to do

"I'll go-" She began, turning on her heel. However she was then stopped by Harry's voice, making her pause in her tracks

"Just because I'm up here doesn't mean you have to leave" His voice loudly whispered. She shrugged to herself before spinning around again and hesitantly coming to the railing. Moments later she turns her head to him

"I mean I was going to leave you alone" Ophelia admitted, turning to face the horizon again. The clouds floating past as time passed "Some people like the escape their surroundings by heading to where it is quiet. Somewhere where they can't be disturbed when focusing on their thoughts"

He just looked to her blankly not a hundred percent sure where she was leading with this

"All I'm saying Harry is that you seem to have stuff on your mind" She sighed before releasing a small chuckle "I'm a Ravenclaw so I easily over complicate some of my explanations"

"Yeah well the only stuff I'm thinking of right now is how annoyed I am at my bloody aunt and uncle for not signing my permission form" He frustratingly vented, using his hands a lot and waving them in many directions "Just because I blew my aunt up-"

"You did what?!" Ophelia gasped, not even trying to hold back the laughter which escaped her lips. She stood there, holding onto the railings as she somehow found that absolutely hilarious and was attempting to calm herself down

Meanwhile Harry's frown softened as a small smile grew onto his face as he listened to the infectious laughter. Soon enough he was chuckling along as they both them fell into a comfortable hushed silence

"Well I think much proper introductions are necessary" She declared, turning to him once more and outstretching her hand "Hello my name is Ophelia Rayden. I am twelve years old and a Ravenclaw"

"I'm Harry Potter" He chuckled, shaking her hand whilst he also shook his head "I'm thirteen and a Gryffindor"

She nodded her head in greeting before looking out towards the sky. Moments later she decides to ask a very much random question

"What's it like being thirteen?" She asked, throwing Harry off the spot

"Umm" He thought to himself "I'm entirely sure how a normal thirteen year old is supposed to feel as I seem to be almost getting killed every year so that's fun"

"Wow very fun" She sarcastically replied, rolling her eyes. However she couldn't stop the grin when danced on her lips "Anyways do you feel any different when being thirteen?"

"Well I'm not sure if anything's happened yet with whatever your thinking off" He said "I mean I only turned thirteen like two months ago. Therefore I don't know what your expectations are"

"Well you have a late birthday" She sighed before cracking a smile "We're total opposites then, I'm turning thirteen at the end of this month so yeah, gotta be the early teen in the yeah"

"I mean what's so big about birthdays?" Harry suddenly questioned making her look to him disbelievingly "All it is, is you turning a year older"

"All it is?!" Ophelia lowly shrieked "Harry darling, a birthday means presents, cake, parties, spending time with the people you care about, making wishes over candles and yes, becoming a year older"

"Yeah well I've never had that" Harry admitted making her gasp in shock yet again

"That it" She declared "One birthday I'm going to make it the best you ever had. Got it? It'll be unforgettable and you'll finally see what I mean"

"My birthdays during the summer" Harry frowned "No way you'll do that with my aunt and uncle"

"Well you most definitely haven't met me then Mr Potter" She grinned, flicking her hair "When the time comes, with a little gloss and widen with the eyes, I can make someone say yes"

"I'll hold you to that then" He chuckled "Ophelia Rayden you owe me an unforgettable birthday"

"Certainly" She laughed as the two remained there, spending unknowingly how much longer up in the tower

Now what the two didn't know was that this would form to become a good friendship and then maybe lead them somewhere else
