"So where would you like to eat?" Chris asks
"Doesn't matter, but somewhere fairly quick, I need to get to the bar."
"Mmm. I think I know just the place."
Chris drives about a mile and Aurora sees McDonald's ahead.
"McDonald's! Your kidding right!"
"You said you wanted fast. We can go through the drive through and it will be quick." Chris smiles.
Aurora laughs. "Fine."
"Do you know what you want?"
"Yes. The 10 piece chicken nuggets with fries and a Carmel frappe."
"Alright."
Chris pulls up to the speaker and orders.
"Can I take your order?"
"Yes. I would like the 10 piece chicken nuggets with fries and a Carmel frappe."
"What size?"
"Uh..." Chris turns to Aurora. "What size do you want?"
"Medium."
"A medium please."
"Anything else?"
"Yes, a bacon cheeseburger and fries and an ice tea."
"Okay so that's 10 piece chicken nuggets, fries, a medium Carmel frappe, a bacon cheeseburger and an ice tea. Anything else?"
"That's all."
"That will be $15.00. You can pay at the window."
Chris drives to the next window and pays then after getting their food he drives out.
"You paid again. Can I please give you some money?"
"You really hate it when I pay don't you?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"I work hard. I have been on own for a long time and I am not use to getting help or having someone pay for me."
Chris smiles. "I understand. That says a lot about you, but it's okay to get help. Especially when..." Chris stops.
"When what?"
"Nothing. Where would like to eat this? I can pull in somewhere."
"That's fine. What were you going to say?"
"Never mind."
Chris drives to the beach parking and pulls up. The beach is in front of them.
"Would like to sit on the beach?"
"Sure."
Chris grabs the food and they walk to the beach and sit down.
Aurora takes a bite of a chicken nugget. She looks over at Chris who is eating a fry.
"Chris?"
"Yeah." He says looking over at her.
"Never mind." She says eating another nugget.
"What is it?"
"Nothing. Never mind."
"What is it? What's on your mind? You can tell me."
"I...scared about the dance scenes."
"Why? I'm a great dancer."
Aurora smiles. "I can't dance."
"Not at all?"
"No."
"Well I can teach you."
"Really?"
"Sure, I'd be happy to."
"Thanks."
Aurora finishes her nuggets and starts on her fries.
"We could start this weekend," Chris says eating his last fry.
"Start what?"
"Your dance lessons."
"Oh, uh... I will have to see. I think I might have plans."
"Oh." Chris said trying to hide his sadness.
"I will check with my roommate and let you know."
"Okay." Chris smiles.
Chris thoughts
"Roommate, so it wasn't with a guy." Chris remembered what he had told Scott. Would Scott ask her out? Should he give him some time?

"I guess I better get to the bar," Aurora said breaking Chris's thoughts.
"Oh yeah. Let's go."
Chris grabs their trash. Aurora carries her drink and Chris carries his and throws the trash away. After opening her door and she is in he gets in the driver's side and heads to the bar. Only a few minute later he pulls up in front of the bar.
"Alright. I'll see you later. Just text me when your done."
"Okay. Thanks."
Aurora grabs her drink and stuff and heads inside. Scott is behind the bar. He looks up when he sees her and smiles.
"There you are! I was starting to wonder what happened."
"Sorry. I stopped to get something to eat and lost track of time."
"It's okay. Go ahead and finish this Island iced tea and I will be back."
"Alright."
Aurora finishes the drink as Scott walks away to the back.
Scott's point of view
He can't get over how beautiful she is. He wants to ask her out so bad, but just doesn't know if he should. He is her boss and is worried it would make things awkward. He catches his breath, grabs the box of glasses and heads back.

They continue working side by side. They stay busy moving around each other and every once in a while touching hands briefly and occasionally bumping sides. When Scott touches her hand she feels a tingle, like a spark. She doesn't think much about it and just continues working. Later after things have died down and it's not as busy Scott comes up to her.
"Aurora."
"Yes."
"I..."
"Miss," a young man says interrupting Scott.
"Yes?"
"I am leaving my money here on the bar. Wanted to let you know before I headed out."
"Alright thanks."
Aurora goes over and picks up $100. "Wow." She thinks. She turns back to Scott.
"I'm sorry Scott. What were you going to say?"
"Oh... just that I...I was going to say you did good today. I will see you here tomorrow at 2. Is that okay?"
"Sure. We won't be at the studio till Monday right?"
"Right."
"I could come in earlier than 2 if you want."
"Well I guess you could. How about 12:30?"
"I can do that. Thanks."
Aurora heads to the back and sends a text to Chris.
I'm done
She heads back out with her stuff. Scott is starting to clean up.
"Do you need me to stay and help you clean up?"
"No that's okay. You go ahead it's late already."
"Alright."
Aurora looks down at her phone. 2:30. Chris hasn't messaged her back. Should she call him? He had told her before he doesn't always hear a text but a call he would, but what if he was asleep? She didn't want to wake him. But he told her he would come get her, to let him him know when she was done. She pushes the call button from her last message to him. He answered on the second ring. She could tell she woke him.
"Hello."
"Chris? I'm sorry I woke you...uh..."
"Aurora! Oh sorry. I didn't hear my phone. Are you done?"
"Yes."
"Alright on my way. I should be there in 25 minutes."
"Okay. See you soon."
Aurora hung up. Scott was watching her.
"Chris giving you rides now?" He asked.
"Yes he offered and it is nice not having to walk."
Scott smiles. "Yes."
She starts to walk out.
"Aurora."
"Yes?"
"Did you get your final grades and your license?"
"Oh, no not yet. I thought I would have gotten them by now. I will check when I get home."
"Alright let me know."
"I will."
Aurora walks out to see Chris getting out of his car.
"Hey," he says
"Hi." She smiles.
"I was just coming in to get you."
"Sorry, Scott was talking to me."
"It's alright. You ready?"
"Yep."
Chris opens her door for her and after she's in he closes the door and walks around the drivers side as Scott comes out and locks up. He waves at him before he gets in and drives off.
"I'm sorry for waking you up."
"It's okay. I had been reading waiting for your text and fell asleep. How was your day or the rest of it?"
"It was good. We were busy. I'm tired."
"I bet. It's been a long day."
Chris pulled up in front of Aurora's apartment.
"What time do you go into work tomorrow?"
"12:30."
"Okay. I will be on break from filming then, I can come get you."
"Alright."
"Wow, not arguing with me this time?" Chris smiles.
"I know it won't do me any good."
"Nope."
"So I guess I'll see you at..."
"I will try to be here at 12:15. I will send you a text when I'm on my way."
"Okay. Goodnight Chris."
"Goodnight Aurora. Sweet dreams."
Once Chris sees that Aurora gets inside he drives off,
Aurora walks in and places her stuff on the floor by the couch. She finds Willow asleep on the couch. She reaches over and grabs the remote and turns off the tv. Willow wakes up.
"Hey! I was watching that!"
"You were asleep."
"No, I was resting my eyes."
"Uh huh."
Willow looks at the clock 3:30."
"You just now getting my in?"
"Yes. I worked a little late."
"Did Chris bring you home?"
"Yes. I had to call him he had fallen asleep."
"Awww. Do you work tomorrow?"
"Just at the bar at 12:30. Chris is picking me up at 12:15."
"So he's still giving you a ride?"
"Yep. He won't take no for an answer."
"Aww that's sweet. Has he asked you out yet?"
"No, but he's going to help me learn to dance this weekend."
"Oh really?" She asked raising an eye brow.
"Yes."
"He so likes you!"
"Whatever. I'm going to bed. See you in the morning.
Aurora gets ready for bed then climbs under the covers and is asleep in no time.
