Chapter 27

Aurora walks in to find Willow walking into the room carrying her suitcase.
"Hey."
"Hi."
"I'm sorry this is last minute, but when I heard bad weather was coming I thought it would be better and safer to leave tonight."
"It's okay. Scott won't be happy."
"What do you mean?"
"He wanted to see me again before we left. I am supposed to call him now that I'm home."
"Oh. I'm sorry. Well he could still come over. As long as we leave by 4:30 or 5 we should be fine. It's 3:30 now."
"Okay."
Aurora pulls out her phone and calls Scott. He answers on the first ring.
"Hey baby. Are you home?"
"Yes, but not for long."
"What do you mean?"
"Willow wants to leave tonight. She said bad weather is coming."
"Oh. Well she is smart for wanting to leave tonight. So I guess I won't see you till back."
"Well she said as long as we left by 4:30 or 5 we would have a few minutes if you wanted to come before we leave."
"Sure. As long as I wouldn't be in the way."
"No you wouldn't."
"Okay. On my way now."
They hang up and Aurora heads to her room. A few minutes later Willow is in the door way.
"So what did Chris give you?"
Aurora shows her.
"Aww that's sweet. How did you get so lucky to have two guys in your life and I have none."
"Don't worry. One day the right guy will come along. Be patient." Aurora said putting clothes in her suit case. She put her journal in her book bag and he mug in her suit case.
"Your taking the mug with you?"
"Yeah. So I can use it."
"Okay. Well I..."
Then they heard a knock.
"That's Scott."
Aurora headed into the living room and opened the door.
"Hey baby."
"Hi."
Scott leaned forward and kissed her. Then he followed her in.
"I was in my room packing. You can come with me if you want."
"Sure. Lead the way."
Scott followed Aurora to her room. Aurora started grabbing clothes from her drawer and putting them in her suitcase. Scott sat on her bed.
"I'll miss you while you're gone."
"I'll miss you too. Especially at night."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because I know I will have nightmares and you will be far away and..."
"Baby, come here."
Aurora walked toward Scott. He wrapped his arms around her.
"You can call me at anytime. No matter the time. I'm always here for you."
"I know, but it won't be the same."
"I know it won't, but I will be there if you need me. Alright?"
"Okay."
Scott leans up a little and kisses her. He deepens the kiss, then Aurora pulls away.
"I need to finish packing."
Aurora heads into the bathroom and gets her toiletries and puts them in her bag then carries it back to her room and puts it in her bag. Willow walks into the room.
"You got everything packed?"
"Almost. Did you get the presents?"
"Yes, they are in a bag by the door."
"Alright."
"Do you want to eat before we go or stop at some point along the way."
"I'm not hungry right now. We can stop. I'm still full from lunch."
"Okay. Just bring your bags to the living room when your ready."
"Will do."
Willow left the room.
"Where did you and Chris eat lunch?"
"He fixed me lunch at his house."
"Oh he did?"
"Yes, he made lasagna. It was good."
"Wow. What did he give you?"
Aurora got the mug and journal from her bags and showed Scott.
Scott laughs "I like the mug and the journal is nice."
"Yeah. He said I could write down my dreams or my thoughts."
Aurora puts the mug back in her suit case and the journal in her book bag. She grabs a few more things and throws them in her suit case the closes it.
"I think that's everything."
"Want me to carry your suit case to the living room?"
"Sure, thanks."
Scott picks up her suit case and carries it into the living room. Aurora grabbed her book bag and followed him. Scott put the bag next to the door with Willow's bag.
"Would you like me to help you carry your bags to the car?"
"Yes thanks."
Scott picks up the two suit cases.
"Is the car unlocked?"
"No, here," Willow says handing him the keys.
Scott takes them and walks out to the car and puts them in the trunk.
"Girl, that guy adores you."
Aurora smiles.
"Have you thought about having him meet your parents?"
"What? No, it's too early for that. We just started dating."
"Yes, but I think..."
"Willow, no drop it."
"But..."
Scott walked back into the apartment and saw the tension between the girls.
"Everything okay?"
"Yes. I am taking my book bag to the car," Aurora says picking up her book bag . Scott grabs her arm.
"Baby?"
"I'm okay Scott. I'll be back." She leaves the apartment. Scott looks at Willow.
"What happened?"
"Nothing." Willow says then walks off. Scott leaves the apartment and finds Aurora at the car. She had just closed the door.
"Baby."
"Scott, I told you I would be back."
He wraps his arms around her.
"What happened? I saw the tension between you two when I came back."
"Nothing."
"Baby, don't lie to me. Come on talk to me."
"Honest, nothing," she said looking down.
"Hey," he says lifting her chin up so she was looking into his eyes.
"Please tell me."
Aurora sighed. "She asked if I thought about having you meet my parents. I told her we had just started dating. I said it was too early."
"Oh."
"Scott, you understand right?"
"Of course baby. Whenever your ready. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Do they know about me?"
"What do you mean?"
"Do they know we are dating?"
"Not yet."
"You haven't told them about me?"
"No, they know I starred in your movie, but that's it. I haven't really had a chance to talk them yet."
"But you will?"
"Yes. I plan to tell me over Christmas."
"Alright."
"Let's get back in," Aurora starts to head back, but Scott grabs her hand and pulls her back. He pulls her to him and kisses her. He pulls away and looks at her.
"I will miss you."
"I will you too, but it will only be a few days."
"I know. We can talk at night right?"
"Yes."
"Good." He gives her a quick kiss then takes her hand and they walk into the apartment.
"Are you about ready to go?" Willow asks.
"Yes. I am going to go check my room to make sure I didn't forget anything."
"Alright. I am taking the bag of presents to the car. I will be back," Willow says. Aurora heads to her room and looks around and is walking back when she runs into Scott.
"Scott."
"Will you call me when you get there?"
"I can text you. It might be really early in the morning. You will be asleep."
"It's okay. You can call."
"At 3 am?"
"Oh. That early?"
"Yeah."
"You can text first."
Aurora laughs.
"Aurora! We need to go!"
"Coming."
Aurora goes into the living room. Scott follows her.
"So we got everything?" Willow asks
"Yes. I have my purse my phone is..." she looks around.
"Right here," Scott says picking it up off the island.
"Thanks," she takes it from him.
"Alright let's go. If we leave now we can make good time. Your parents don't know we are coming this early so they?"
"No. I haven't told them."
"Okay. We can surprise them then."
"Yeah. I still have my key so I can get us in."
"Okay."
Willow heads out. Aurora follows behind her and Scott walks out. Willow closes the door and locks it. They walk to the car.
"Bye baby. I will miss you."
"I will miss you too."
"I'll talk to you later."
"Yes. I will call you tomorrow night."
"Alright. Don't forget to text me when you get there."
"I won't."
"Bye girls. Be careful."
"We will." Willow says
Scott kisses Aurora hard on the mouth. She hugs him then gets in.
"You ready?" Willow asks.
"Yep."
Willow pulls away and Aurora waves to Scott.
"I did bring some snacks."
"Okay good."
"So, what are you going to do for next few days without Scott?"
"I don't know. I will miss him, but we will still talk."
"Yeah. You haven't told your family about him yet have you?"
"No, not yet."
"Not even Josh? I thought you and him were close?"
"We are. I just haven't told him yet. I really haven't talked him in a while. I have been busy."
"Yeah."
Willow tunes on the stereo and played the cd that was in it. A Disney song started playing. "Love" from Robin Hood.

"Oh, I love this song." Aurora says.
The girls began to sing along. They ride and sing along to Disney songs for the next two hours.
"Do you want me to drive me a little?" Aurora asks.
"Sure. I'll stop at the next rest stop."
An hour later Willow pulls into the rest area and the girls get out and stretch.
"I'm going to run to the rest room." Aurora says.
"Okay I'll be right here."
Aurora grabs her purse and phone and heads to the restroom. While she was washing her hands she gets a text.
Scott- thinking about you. Miss you. 😗
Aurora smiles
Aurora- miss you too. At a rest stop. I am fixing to take over driving a little.
Scott- okay. Be careful 😊
Aurora walks back to the car. Willow is standing there waiting.
"Do you want to stop and eat some where or just keep going?"
"You brought snacks. We can just keep going so we can get there."
"Alright. I fixed some sandwiches too."
"Okay cool."
The girls got back in the road. Aurora took over. She drove for the next 4 hours. She looked over at Willow. She was asleep. She didn't wasn't to wake her up for her to drive. She decided to keep driving a little longer. At Midnight Aurora knew she needed a break. She pulled into a gas station. She filled up the car. While she was filling up Willow woke up.
"Where are we?"
"Gas station."
"I see that, but where?"
"Not sure. Can you drive a little? I'm getting tired."
"Sure."
The girls changed places and Willow took over driving. Aurora fell asleep. She has been sleeping an hour when she had a dream.
Authors note- hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I know not a lot happened but it was already long so I couldn't end it where I wanted to. I didn't want to make it any longer.
