The next morning Scott awoke to his phone ringing. He rolled over and grabbed it off the beside table.
"Hello."
"Mr. Eastwood, this is officer Mitchell. Hope I didn't wake you."
"It's okay."
"We found the gentleman from the bar. We have him behind bars. He won't be getting out this time."
"That's great news. Thanks."
"Your welcome. If you need anything let me know."
"I will. Thanks again."
Scott hung up and put his phone back on the beside table. He looked down and saw Aurora was awake.
"Good morning baby."
"Morning. Who were you talking to?"
"The officer. They found the man from the bar and they have him. He said he wouldn't be getting out this time."
"That's great!"
"Yeah."
"Why do you look so sad? I thought you'd be more happy about it."
"I am. I am just not looking forward to you moving back to your apartment. I have gotten so use to you being here."
"Aww. I'll miss being here too, but that was the deal once he was found I move back."
"I know. I just have gotten use to you being here. It won't be the same without you. I will miss you."
"Aww Scott." Aurora leans up and kisses him.
"It's not like I won't still see you."
"I know. Do you think your dreams will stop now that he was found?"
"I don't know. I hope so. Hey, do I have another appointment with the counselor?"
"Oh, I almost forgot. It's tomorrow."
"Okay. I will stay through tomorrow then leave. How's that?"
"That's fine baby."
"What are we going to do today?"
"Whatever you want."
"Can we go out somewhere?"
"Sure. We can get ready and go grab some breakfast if you want."
"Sounds good."
"You go first."
"I can use the other bathroom that way you don't have to wait on me."
"Alright."
Aurora kisses him and gets up and grabs her clothes and heads to the bathroom next to the spare bedroom. Scott gets up and heads into his bathroom.
Before Aurora gets in the shower she sends a text to Chris.
Aurora- Good morning! Can I ask for some advice?
It doesn't take long till she gets a text back
Chris- Good morning beautiful! Sure what's up?
Aurora- Scott's birthday is coming up and I want to surprise him but I have no idea what to do. Any ideas?
Chris- Mmm. Let me think about it and get back you. How much time do I have? When is it?
Aurora- three days
Chris- okay I'll get back to you soon
Aurora- thanks 😊
Chris- sure anytime! 😊
Aurora gets her shower and after drying her hair and applying a little make up she heads into the living room.
"There you are! I was starting to wonder about you."
"Sorry. I'm ready."
"Let's go."
"Are we taking your truck?"
"Yep."
They climb into this truck and Scott pulls out of the drive way.
"Where would you like to go?"
"Doesn't matter."
"How about Waffle House?"
"Seriously?"
"Sure. Why not? They have great food!"
"Wont you get recognized there?"
"Don't worry about that. I don't mind. I want to show off my girl."
"Aww Scott. Yes, let's go."
Scott drives to Waffle House. Aurora and Scott were surprised to find it wasn't very busy. A waitress comes and takes their orders. They both order coffee and a waffle with some grits. They sit and eat breakfast. Aurora's phone goes off. She looks down and sees it is a text from Chris.
Chris- you could get him a stripper 😉😂
Aurora- Chris! I can't believe you!
Chris- 😂🤣 I was kidding! How about laser tag? That would be fun and then karaoke afterwards at a bar?
Aurora- that's perfect! Thanks. I will work on it and let you know!
Chris- welcome. If you need any help with it, let me know.
Aurora- I will 😊
"Who are you texting?"
"Chris."
"Is everything okay? You had a funny look on your face a second ago."
"Yes everything is fine: he just said something funny."
"Oh. What did he say?"
"Oh. He uh... sent me a funny pic with Dodger."
"Can I see?"
"Uh... hang on."
Aurora- quick send me a funny pic with Dodger. Scott asked me what was going on and I made up the funny pic with Dodger and he wants to see.
Chris- lol okay hang on
Aurora waits a few minutes then Chris texts back.
