Chapter 36

Aurora tossed and turned all night. She did wake up Chris screaming. He came in and woke her. He offered to stay with her, but she said she was fine. Aurora browsed Instagram for a while then text Scott.
Aurora- u awake?
Scott- 😊 am now. Have a dream?
Aurora- yes. Afraid to go back to sleep
Then her phone starts ringing, Scott is calling her
"Hey."
"Hey baby. Is Chris with you?"
"No. He went back to his room. I wish I could sleep. These dreams seem to be getting worse."
"I know. We will figure something out. At least after today I will be with you."
"Yeah."
"You are still moving in with me right?"
"Yes even though I know it's a bad idea. It's only till they find the man."
"Yes I know. I understand."
Scott paused a few minutes. Aurora heard voices.
"Hey baby, I need to go. But I will see you later. Just text or call me when you are on your way here."
"Okay will do."
"Love you baby."
"Love you too."
Aurora hung up and climbed out of bed and went to living room. She said on the couch. She saw a small photo album on the coffee table. She picks it up. She sees pictures of Chris when he was little.

While she was looking Chris walks in.
"Well good morning."
Aurora looks up. "Good morning."
"What are you looking at?"
"Pictures of you when you were young. You were cute."
"Where did you get that?"
"Here on the table. You were so cute."
Chris smiles. "Was? Am I not still?"
Aurora laughs. "Yes, maybe more so."
Chris smiles again. "How about some breakfast?"
"Sounds good."
"Waffles or pancakes?"
"Pancakes, Mickey ones?"
"Sure. Coming up."
Chris leaves the living room and heads into the kitchen. Aurora sets the album down and heads into the kitchen and sits at the island.
"Do you have to go to set today?"
"Yes, but not till a little later."
"Oh, okay so we can go get Scott after breakfast then?"
"Sure. Are you in a hurry to leave me?" Chris smiles
"No, I just..."
"I'm kidding. I know your anxious to spend time with Scott. I will miss having you here though."
Aurora smiles, "I will miss it too."
They eat breakfast then Aurora gets up.
"Want me to help you clean up before I get ready and pack my stuff?"
"It's okay. I can get it. You go ahead."
"Alright."
Aurora leaves the kitchen and gets a quick shower then packs up her stuff. She has just finished when Chris walks in.
"Need any help?"
"I think I got everything."
"I can take your suit case for you."
"Thanks."
Aurora sends a text to Scott to let him know they are on their way.
Chris grabs her suitcase and they head to his car. After they are both in Chris drives to the hospital. It is quiet the whole way there. When Chris and Aurora walk into the room Scott is standing at his bed packing up his stuff.
"Hey."
Scott looks up
"Hey baby."
Aurora walks over to him and hugs him. Scott kisses her head.
"Are you ready to go?"
"Yep. I just need to wait a minute for the doctor. He said he would be back."
"Okay."
A few minutes later the doctor walks in.
"Scott before you go. I want to remind you to take it easy for the next few days."
"Yes sir."
"No heavy lifting for a week."
"Yes sir."
He looks at Aurora
"Are you his girlfriend I have heard so much about?"
Aurora smiles. "Yes. Aurora."
"I feel like I already know you the way he talks about you, but it's nice to finally officially meet you. Make sure he takes it easy for a few days."
"I will."
"Might be even better if he takes it easy for the next few weeks."
"Okay. I will look out for him."
Scott smiles and wraps his arm around her
"So I guess I will have to listen to you for once huh?" He laughs
"Yep."
"We'll go, get out here. Take your medicine if your in pain."
"I will thanks."
The doctor leaves and Scott gets ready to pick up his suitcase but Aurora stops him.
"Nope. Don't you dare. You can't lift that."
"It's not heavy."
"Nope."
Aurora get ready to pick it up but Chris steps in.
"I got it."
They walk out to Chris's car. As they walk out of the hospital room Scott grabs Aurora's hand. Scott sits in the front with Chris and Aurora sits in the back.
When they reach Scott's house a few minutes later Scott climbs out. Aurora gets out at the same time. Scott takes her hand. Chris gets out and gets to the bags and they walk inside together. Chris sets the bags down.
"Thanks Chris," Scott says
"Welcome. Take it easy. If you need anything let me know."
"I will. Thanks."
They shake hands. Chris turns to Aurora.
"I guess I'll see you at the premiere."
"Yep."
"Keep me updated on him and let me know if you need anything."
"I will. Thanks for Chris. For everything."
She hugs him. He kisses her head. "Your welcome."
Scott watches them. He knows he shouldn't be jealous, but he is. Watching them is hard. He knows they are close, he trusts them both and knows nothing will happen but it's still hard.
"Bye."
Chris leaves and it's just Scott and Aurora.
"Well, what would you like to do?" Aurora asks.
"Shower. I haven't really had a bath in a few days. Only sponge baths and those suck!"
"Okay. Will you be okay to shower? Would a bath be easier? I could help you."
Scott raises an eyebrow. "What are you implying? Trying to see me naked?"
"No!" Aurora says gently hitting his arm.
"I only meant I could get the water started or..."
Scott laughs "it's okay. Thanks for the offer. I think I got it."
He gets ready to pick up his suitcase but Aurora grabs it.
"I got it."
"Seriously?"
"Yes. The doctor told you not to lift anything."
Scott shakes his head. "I'm not sure how I will get use to this, letting you do everything, but I love you and am glad you're here."
Aurora kisses him and carries his suitcase to his room. He follows her.
"Where do you want this?"
"You can put it on the bed."
Aurora sets the suitcase on the bed.
"I will be in the living room if you need me."
Aurora get ready to leave but Scott grabs her hand.
"Thanks baby. I don't know what I'd do with you. I love you."
"Love you too," she kisses him then leaves.
Aurora puts her suitcase in the spare room then heads to the living room and sits on the couch. She puts her feet up on the couch and pulls out the journal that Chris had gotten her. She hadn't written anything yet, but decided it was a good time to start.
