Chapter 22

Aurora looked down at her phone. It was Chris calling.
"Hey."
"Hey beautiful. How are you?"
"I'm alright. Tired."
"Are you still not sleeping?"
"No. I keep having dreams and I had one where Scott couldn't save me. The man pushed him against the stall and knocked him out. I kept screaming his name."
"I'm sorry. Are you working today?"
"No. Scott gave me off till after Christmas."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah. He told me to rest, but that hasn't really happened."
"Well would you like to grab lunch? I just finished on set and have some time."
"Sure. Let me just get cleaned up."
"Alright. I'll be there in about 15 minutes."
Aurora hung up and turned off the tv and ran to her room. She didn't have time to take a shower. She put on a pair of black leggings, a blue sweater a s grabbed her leather jacket. By the time she had finished putting on her make up she got a text.
Chris- I'm here
Aurora- on my way
Aurora left Willow a note then grabbed her purse and phone. Chris was waiting outside leaning against his car looking at his phone.
"Hey Chris."
Chris looked up
"Hey beautiful. You look nice." He said kissing her cheek.
"Thanks."
After helping her in Chris went around the drivers side.
"Where would you like to go?" Chris asked.
"It doesn't matter."
"Our usual place? The cafe?"
"Sure, sounds good."
Chris drove to the cafe. It was silent for several minutes till Chris finally spoke.
"So, you can't stop thinking about what happened huh?"
"No. Scott suggested I talk to someone."
"That's not a bad idea. It might help."
"He told me he would see it up for me and go with me. I told him I would think about it."
"Okay. So, what are you doing for Christmas?"
"Willow and I are going to Florida Christmas Eve and coming back two days after Christmas."
"Oh okay."
"How about you?"
"Going to Boston to spend Christmas with my family."
"That's nice."
"Yeah."
Chris pulled up at the cafe. They walked in together and sat at a booth across from each other. They had just ordered their drinks when Aurora's phone rang.
"It's Scott. Can I answer?"
"Sure go ahead."
"Hey."
"Hey baby. What are you up to?"
"Eating lunch with Chris."
"You are?"
"Yes. We are at the cafe."
"Oh okay."
"Are you at the bar?"
"Yeah."
"Has it been busy?"
"Not too bad. So, are you okay? Have you gotten any rest?"
"A little but I keep waking up."
"Have you thought anymore about my suggestion?"
"I'm still thinking about it."
"I really think you should. I think it would help."
"That's what Chris said."
"You told Chris?"
"Yeah I told him you suggested talking to someone and he agreed that I should, but I just don't know."
"Well keep thinking about it. I need to get back to work. I'll call you later. Maybe we can get together later."
"Sure."
"Alright. Later baby."
Aurora hung up and saw Chris watching her smiling.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Nothing. I'm just glad you and Scott are together. You seem really happy."
"I am. I like him a lot. He's sweet."
Chris smiled.
"Chris, Can I ask you something?"
"Sure, you can ask me anything."
"Why do you always text me and wait outside for me? Why don't you come to my apartment?"
"Uh.. I don't know. I guess I...I don't know."
"You know you are welcome to come to my apartment anytime. You have watched a movie at my apartment."
"Yes I have. Thanks."
Chris and Aurora finished their lunch. The waitress brought the bill.
"How much is mine?"
"I got it."
"Chris, come on. I can..."
"Aurora it's okay. I don't mind. It's on me."
Aurora knew arguing with him would do no good. They walked out to his car.
"Is there anywhere else you need to go?"
"No, no thanks."
"Alright."
Chris drove to her apartment.
"Well thanks for having lunch with me. I'll see you later."
"Your welcome. I enjoyed it too. Would you like to come in?"
"I need to get going other wise I would love to."
"Alright. Another time then."
"Sure."
Aurora got out of the car.
"Bye Chris."
"Bye beautiful. Talk to you later."
After Aurora was inside Chris drove away. Aurora put her stuff down and looked around. She saw her note was still on the island where she had left it. She guessed Willow was still asleep. She sat on the couch and read a book.
Aurora had read several chapters when Willow walked in.
"Well afternoon sleepy head."
"Hi."
"Are you working today?"
"Yes, but I go in later so I slept in a little longer."
"Nothing wrong with that. At least you can sleep."
Willow sat down next to Aurora. "Why won't you talk to someone?"
"I'm scared."
"Of what?"
"I don't like talking to strangers and..."
"But didn't Scott say he would go with you?"
"Yes, but..."
"Well, then you wouldn't be alone. Scott will be there. I really think it would help."
"Alright. I'll try."
"Have you had lunch?"
"Yes. I had lunch with Chris."
"You did?"
"Yeah. He asked me to lunch."
"Well that was nice if him. So you two are still hanging out?"
"Yeah. He's like my best friend. Guy friend that is."
"That's great."
Willow walked into the kitchen and fixed herself a sandwich. Aurora started reading her book again. Willow sat down next to her and ate her sandwich.
"Will you be late tonight?"
"Probably. I go in at 4."
"Oh. I thought maybe we could get a pizza and watch movies."
"Sounds fun. Wish I could. But I probably won't get in till after midnight."
"Maybe tomorrow night."
"Yeah. I'm off tomorrow."
"You are?"
"Yep."
"Well then let's plan on that. We can order a pizza and watch movies."
"It's a date! Well I need to go get ready for work."
Willow left the room, but was back an hour later.
"I'm heading in early. I'll see you later. Try to get some sleep alright?"
"I'll try but I know I won't."
Willow leaves and Aurora goes back to her book. She has been reading for an hour when her phone goes off.
"Hey."
"Hey Baby. I've been thinking about you."
"You have?"
"Yep. It's not the same here without you."
"Awww. I miss being there with you."
Scott smiles. "Have you gotten any sleep?"
"No. I'm scared to close my eyes."
"Baby you..."
"Scott, I want to talk someone."
"You decided you want to?"
"Yes."
"Alright. I will set up an appointment and let you know."
"Thanks."
"Your welcome baby. What are you doing right now?"
"Reading."
"What are you reading?"
"A Nicholas Sparks novel."
"Oh, okay. Well uh I was thinking if your awake when I get done I would love to see you."
"Sure. I'm sure I will be."
"I'll text you, but promise me you will try to sleep."
"I will try."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Alright. I'll talk to you later baby."
Scott hangs up and get back to work. He is glad Aurora has decided to talk to someone. He hopes it will help. He walks to the back and makes a call to try and get her an appointment with someone he knows.
Aurora goes back to her book, but can't read. She is just not into it anymore. She decides to watch a movie. She flips through the movies on Netflix and decides to watch A Walk to Remember. She had gotten to the scene where Landon and Jamie are on a date and he tells her he loves her, when she gets a text.
Scott- Hey baby. U awake?
Aurora- yes
Scott-  leaving now
Aurora-  okay see u soon 😊
Aurora is at the scene where Jamie tells Landon she is sick when there is a knock on her door. She paused the movie.
"Hey."
"Hey baby." He said kissing her.
"Come on in."
Scott walked in. He saw the movie paused.
"What are you watching?"
"A Walk to Remember."
"Have you gotten any sleep?"
Scott asked walking toward her and wrapping his arms around her.
"No."
"Have you tried?"
Aurora shook her head.
"Baby you..."
"Scott please."
"I got you an appointment for Monday at 12."
"You did?"
"Yes."
"Are you going with me?"
"If you want me to."
"I do."
"Then I will."
"Can I finish my movie?"
"Sure."
They walk to the couch and sit down next to each other. Scott put his arm around her and Aurora layers her head on his chest. Scott looked down at her and smiled. He played with her hair and ran his fingers through it.
Aurora starts crying when Jamie faints and goes to the hospital.
"Baby, it's okay." Scott kisses her head.
When the movie ended Aurora was in tears.
"I had forgotten how sad this movie was."
Scott rubbed her back and ran his fingers through her hair.
"Thank you." Aurora said look at Scott.
"For what?"
"For coming over, and being here."
"I'm always here for you Baby and there is no where else I'd rather be."
Aurora smiled. Scott leaned in and kissed Aurora. He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed up and down her arms. He gradually moved his arms down. He moved from kissing her lips to her neck.
"Scott."
"Mmm?" He said continuing to kiss her neck and rub her sides.
"Please."
"Please what?"
"Stop."
"What's the matter?" He asked pulling away a little and looking at her.
"I.... I don't..."
"It's okay. I won't hurt you."
"I know. I..."
"What is it?"
"I've never...I'm..."
"Your a virgin? Is that what your trying to tell me?"
"Yes and I've never done anything."
"It's okay. I won't force anything on you."
"I want to wait."
"Wait? What do you mean?"
"I want to be married before I..."
"Oh. I understand. I promise I won't do anything you're not comfortable with."
"Thanks." She kissed him the snuggled up close to him and laid her head on his chest.
"We can watch another movie if you want." Aurora said.
"It's late. You should try and get some sleep."
"I won't sleep."
"You need to try. I should go. It's late."
"Please stay."
Scott looked at Aurora and smiled.
"Okay. What do you want to watch?"
"You pick." She handed him the remote.
"How about this one?" Scott asked stopping on 50 First Dates
"Sure. I love that movie."
Scott started the movie. Aurora snuggled up close to Scott again and put her head back on his chest. Half way into the movie Aurora was asleep. Scott looked down at her and smiled. He was glad she was asleep. He liked having her in his arms. He knew he was starting to fall for her, but it was too soon to tell her. He knew he needed to take things slow.
Then all of sudden Aurora started screaming and jerking.
"No! Let me go! Stop! Scott! Scott!"
Scott gently shook her. "Aurora baby."
"Let me go! Stop! Scott!"
"Baby, wake up." He said shaking her again.
Aurora awoke and looked at Scott.
"Scott! Oh Scott." She buried her head in his arms.
"It's okay baby. I'm here. You're safe. It was a dream."
"If felt so real. He...he..."
"Shhh. It's okay." He said rubbing her back. "You're safe."
"Don't leave me."
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm here for you."
Aurora pulled away and looked at Scott.
"You mean you'll stay?"
"If you want me too yes. I have no where to be. I am taking tomorrow off."
"You are?"
"Yes. I want to spend time with you. Actually a few days."
"Oh Scott."
He kissed her softly. Just then the door opened and Willow walked in.
"Aurora. Oh Scott. Hey."
"Hey Willow."
"I didn't expect to see you."
"Yeah came over for a little while."
Willow smiled. "That's fine. I'll see you later. Heading to bed. Goodnight Aurora, goodnight Scott."
"Night." They both answered.
Aurora snuggled back up to Scott with her head on his chest.
"You can go back to sleep."
"I'm afraid to."
"It's okay. I'm here," Scott said rubbing her back and playing with her hair. He looked down at her.
"Keep doing that."
"Doing what?"
"Playing with my hair. It's relaxing. I love my hair being played with."
Scott smiled and started running his fingers through her hair again. It wasn't long till Aurora was asleep again. Scott watched her for a while, watching her chest rise and fall. She was so beautiful.
Later that morning at 10:00 am Willow walked in and found Scott and Aurora both asleep on the couch. Scott had his arms around Aurora and she was snuggled up to him with her head on his chest. Willow smiled and walked into the kitchen and fixed some coffee.
Scott awoke and looked down and saw Aurora was still asleep. Willow got her cup and walked towards the couch
"Morning."
"Morning."
"How long has she been asleep?"
"Not sure. But I'm glad she finally went to sleep. She went to sleep once but woke up screaming." He whispered.
"She did?"
"Yes. She was afraid to go back to sleep, but I'm glad she finally did."
"Me too. I have been worried about her."
"I have been too."
"Would you like some coffee?"
"Sure."
"How do you take it?"
"Black."
Willow grabbed him a cup and brought it to him.
"Thanks."
Aurora stirred and looked up at Scott.
"Do I smell coffee?"
"Yes. Want some?"
"Thanks." Aurora took his cup and took a sip.
"Yuck!" She said handing it back to him.
"What's wrong?"
"Black coffee."
"You don't like black coffee?"
"No. I have to have creamer in mine."
"I see. Well I guess I won't have to worry about you stealing my coffee."
"Nope. Not if you drink it like that."
Aurora sat up as stretched.
"Glad you finally got some sleep."
"Yeah. How long was I out?"
"Not sure. A while. You didn't wake up. You didn't have any dreams did you?"
"No, not really. I liked laying in your arms. I felt safe." Aurora smiled.
Scott smiled back and kissed her. "Well I better go." He said putting his mug on the coffee table.
"Why? I thought you were taking off today?"
"I am, but I need to go check on my dog Fred."
"Oh."
"I will call you. We can get lunch."
"Alright."
Scott stands up and heads toward the door. Aurora follows him.
"I will see you soon," he said then kisses her and leaves.
Aurora closes the door and turns to see Willow watching her.
"What?"
"You two are too cute."
"Oh stop."
"You are. I can tell how much he cares about you. It's sweet."
Just then Aurora's phone goes off. She walks toward the coffee table and picks it up.
Chris- morning beautiful. How are u?
Aurora- good. I actually got a little sleep.
Chris- that's great
Aurora- yeah. I'm going tomorrow at 12 to talk to someone
Chris- good. I hope it helps
Aurora- me too
Chris- do you have plans later?
Aurora- going to lunch with Scott in a little while.
Chris- oh okay later then. I need to get back to set.
Aurora- sure 😊
"Who was that?"
"Chris. He was checking on me and asking what I was doing later."
"Oh. I think he still likes you."
"Willow stop. He knows I am with Scott. He is just my friend."
"Yes, but he still likes you."
"Whatever. I am going to get my shower."
Aurora left the room and headed to the bathroom.
Aurora walked back into the kitchen a few minutes later wearing blue jeans and a purple sweater.
"Aurora."
"Yeah?"
"Have you seen this?" Willow asked showing her an article with Scott Eastwood. The head line said Has Scott Eastwood given up bachelorhood? Has he found someone?
There was a video.
"Let's watch it." Willow said.
Video- "Scott, you have been seen several times out with someone. Tell us, do you have someone in your life? Are your bachelor days over?"
"Yes I do have someone in my life. We haven't been together long, but she is special. She is my sunshine. I find myself thinking about her all the time. She is the first person I think of when I wake up and the last person I think about when I fall asleep."
"She sounds like a special girl. Tell us. What makes this girl so special?"
"Well, her smile. For one. It could light up a city. It always makes me feel good. Her personality. The way she acts. She is so independent. She is has beautiful eyes. I could get lost in her eyes. She is beautiful inside and out. I also like how she treats me like a normal person. She doesn't care that I am famous. She treats me just like a regular person."
"Wow. She sounds great. One more thing. This girl was recently in a movie you directed, which comes out soon. How did you pick her for the role?"
"Well, she had the part as soon as she auditioned. I knew she was perfect, but I had to let others audition to be fair, but I knew she had it right away."
The girl smiled. "Well everyone that's Scott Eastwood and you can check out his new movie remake of Dirty Dancing coming out late Jan."

"Wow. When was this?" Aurora asked.
"A few days ago. That is so sweet! You better hold in to him girl! He adores you."
"I can't believe he said that. No one has ever said anything like that about me before."
"He really cares about you."
