A rush of magic flurried around him and Virgil laughed as he melted into it. He knew exactly what was going on. He quickened his pace as he headed for the cabin. He passed by several fae who all bowed their head in respect. They've all come to the realization that Virgil was with their prince and that nothing was going to change that. They had no idea how right they were.

Virgil wasted no time bounding into the house with a giggle as he followed the pull of magic to find his mate fussing in his sleep. His eyes softened as he slowly made his way overhearing the mumbled whispers of his prince flitting through the air.

"N-Night... My nighten...gale." Virgil sighed softly as he gently trailed his fingers down his love's face. Roman hummed as he leaned into the touch, making Virgil chuckle. "Nightengale..."

"It's ok, My love." Roman smiled in his sleep as Virgil carefully maneuvered around him till he was lying beside him. "I'm here, Poppy. I'm here." Roman shifted till his head was pressed against the younger's chest and Virgil couldn't help but tear up. You have to think about it like this. Yes, Virgil and Roman had been together for quite a while. Far longer than several months. They've dated and literally living together all this time. The thing was... Virgil then didn't know who he was. He didn't know who Roman was to him. Now that he remembered... Nightengale felt as though he was JUST getting to be with his love again. So despite all this time they've been together Virgil couldn't help but cry feeling he was finally reunited with his mate. "I'm here. I love you."

"I love you too, Campion." Virgil's eyes shot wide as Roman giggled into his shirt. "Good morning, Love." Virgil nodded as he pulled away to wipe his tears only making Roman's smile fall the second he saw them. "Virgil? Virgil, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, Roman..."

"No. No, something is. Why are you crying?" Roman gently nudged Virgil's hands away as he, with the lightest touch, brushed his thumb over the tears making Virgil freeze. "What made those pretty blue eyes water so sadly?" Virgil just blinked, stunned into silence, as Roman's hand moved to the back of his head, playing with his white hair. "What's wrong?"

"I'm serious, Poppy." Virgil smiled softly as Roman's eyes narrowed. "I'm ok. I wasn't crying because I was sad." Virgil giggled as he moved closer and pressed a kiss to Roman's forehead. "They were happy tears."

"Promise?" Virgil nodded as he sighed and laid himself back down with a soft blush, letting Roman gaze down at him fondly.

"I promise. Happy tears... and nothing but."

"Good." Roman laid down beside him staring up at the ceiling with obvious confusion before sighing. "Love? What happened? Last night I mean... I don't remember."

"I asked a question and pushed for an answer... and you had an episode." Roman's eyes flashed as he quickly turned to give Virgil a worried look. "It was about Nightengale. I needed an answer and... I didn't know how else to get it. I'm sorry it hurt you."

"Hey, no... I'm sure it was important. I mean..." Virgil quickly kissed him shifting themselves around till he was on top of the prince who let out a rumble from his lips. When Virgil pulled away Roman was just frozen in place unsure what exactly happened.

"I want to go to Fairyland."

"No." Virgil sighed as Roman moved out from under him causing him to fall over onto the bed. Roman jumped up and quickly went to his closet as Virgil just watched with a sad smile.

"I want to go to Fairyland, Roman."

"No." He repeated a tad more forcefully as he just shook his head and grabbed some new clothes. He started to strip as Virgil groan and threw himself back against the sheets.

"I want to go to-..."

"Virgil, I said... I..." Roman crashed, hands falling from his undone pants, as he leaned against the closet door. "Virgil, you don't remember it. You said it yourself. You have no memories of it. Without memories, you can't visualize it and... If you step into a fairy circle without picturing fairyland... You risk being stuck there... frozen."

"Roman, I know." Virgil slowly made his way over to him wrapping his arms around him from behind. "I know, Poppy."

"Then why ask me to..." Roman stopped dead, eyes widening with every second, as he started to cry. "You... Wait, you... You remember? God, please do not tell me I'm wrong here."

"I remember. I remember our home." Roman spun around capturing the younger in another kiss as the two laughed in pure joy. "I need to go back to fairyland, Ro."

"I know... Returning forms that connection again." Roman gasped slightly as he just giggled. He was practically panting in excitement and joy as he nodded. "O-Ok. I got it. I'll take you. Just..." Roman stepped back with this shine in his eyes that made Virgil's heart sing. "Virgil... This bond between us... there has to be a reason right?"

"Oh, there is a reason." Roman's eyes softened as his whole body seemed to break down in bliss. "I know exactly what it is too. I... I just want to ease everything into it first. I-I don't want to shock anyone so... Can you give me some time to tell you all everything?"

"Campion, I don't care who you are or what happened, as long as this means we get to be together properly." Virgil just nodded as Roman beamed. "God I want to call you my mate so badly." Roman's eyes slipped shut as Virgil smirked knowingly at his prince. "I love you so much."

"What's stopping you?" The way Roman's head shot up was honestly comical as he just stared at the other wide eyes. "Well? If you want to call me your mate... I don't see a problem with it. I've already chosen you."

"My... My mate?" Roman collapsed into Virgil as he gripped his shirt tightly. It was like this... jolt in him. The pain he fully expected never happened but instead... there was this intense sense of connection and it made Roman melt into it completely. "You're my mate."

"And you are mine, Romulus."
