chapter forty-six [REPOST]

"Lisa and I will hang out with a friend and my sister tonight, do you want to come?" Taehyung asks him.

If Taehyung hadn't invited Kai, I would have offered him to come with us because we went here as a trio and I don't want him to be alone while we're going out. Kai looks at me before nodding with a big smile on his face.

"I'm in," he says. "I have to pee, I'll be right back."

I nod and grab the bag of chicken while Taehyung is spilling ketchup sauce on a cardboard box for the french fries.

"If you want to leave during the game, just speak to me in french and we will go home in no time. I know my sister and I don't want her to say the same bullshits my parents taught her."

I look at him and he's taking a bite of a chicken wing. He's always considerate and that's the thing I love the most about him.

"Thank you."

He lifts his head and gives me a small timid smile before taking another bite.

"Relax. It's going to be all fine," Taehyung tries to calm me down.

Throughout the path to the bowling, I became extremely nervous so they are trying to soothe me with jokes. It's working, but as time goes by, I'm getting more tense at the thought of seeing Jennie.

With teeth clenched, I look at the surroundings before sitting on the red leather bench. Kai crosses his arms and looks at me before staring at his best friend.

"Is there something you didn't tell me?"

Taehyung gulps while I pinch my lips tightly. We didn't tell him that there's something going on between me nd Jennie. Well, it's not that hard to explain. She's straight and I have no chance to date her, but I don't feel enough comfortable with him to tell him about this. Kai is a nice guy. I think I just need time to open up with new people.

"Manobal!" a feminine voice calls me.

Jisoo is always misspelling my family name because she thinks it sounds better with an L at the end. I mentally roll my eyes and turn my head to see two girls walking towards us. The beating of my heart starts to race when my eyes meet a certain pair of feline eyes.

She's here.

"What's up sis?" exclaims Taehyung before smiling at her. "You could have told me you were in France!" he slaps Jennie's arm slightly while she shrugs in return.

"Hi, you're Jisoo right? " Kai smiles at Jisoo who nods in response. "Nice to see you."

He turns to Jennie and his smile fades away almost instantly. They look like enemies who bumped into each other to their dismay which is odd to see. They are both nice with strangers, so why wouldn't they get along?

"Nice to see you again," Kai says with the most nonchalant voice I've heard from him.

"Yeah," she says and throws one last glare at him before turning towards me.

I find it hard to breathe when she is looking at me with such intensity as if I was the one she was looking for in a long time. We just saw each other last week, but why do I feel like it's been years ?

"Hi, Jennie." I give her a small smile.

"Hi, Lisa."

She seems nervous, but not as nervous as me. Her gorgeous feline eyes start to linger over the surroundings as if she was scared that someone might think that there would be something between us. I feel disappointed, but when it comes to Jennie, I'm not surprised.
