Hello,
Old friend.
It has been far too long.
I have missed you.
I know you probably don't want anything to do with me,
But please,
Just hear me out this one final time
Before you decide to be rid of me for the rest of eternity.
It is true that I do not deserve your friendship,
Or even your time.
But,
If you would be kind enough,
I would like to rekindle even the barest
Of what we had before.
I know it will never be the same,
And that I am at fault for that.
I should have told you everything
So long ago.
Yet,
I didn't.
I'm not entirely sure as to why myself.
I hope you can forgive me
For my own stupidity.
If you are looking for me,
I will be under the tree with the hanging rope
We used to go to at
Midnight tonight.
I know I do not deserve any chance you might give me,
But I hope we can flee from this town together.
One final adventure.
Goodbye,
Old friend.
I do hope to see you again soon.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them."
