I'm sorry
I'm not who you expected me to be.
I'm sorry
I'm not the type to sit still and look pretty.
I'm sorry
I'm not who you thought I was.
I'm sorry
For all the things you thought I could be but wasn't.
That's really all I can say to you now.
And I guess that's ok.
But for every "I'm sorry" a piece of me is fixed.
I'm becoming the me I always knew I could be.
I'm stronger than I ever thought I could be.
You're not breaking me now.
I'm not letting you get into my head.
I'm done.
If you really valued what I had to offer,
You would've have pushed me so far away from you
That I couldn't help you.
Now,
I don't even know you.
So I'm sorry,
But the old us isn't here anymore.
Now,
I'm stronger without you.
So please,
If you remember what we had,
You won't hurt anyone else the way you hurt me.
And I'm sorry if I hurt you
But there's nothing I can do about that now
Except say I'm sorry for what I did.
So for now,
For everything I ever did to hurt you,
I'm sorry.
Matt Laurer once said, "There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions. To the people I have hurt, I am truly sorry."
