If everyone was kind
Far less would be hated.
Not everyone understands
What a person has gone through
Unless they walked in their shoes.
This castle was built
On the sacrifice of the soldiers.
Many mighty kings
Have tried and failed to rule
In this castle of glass.
It is feared and hated
For what it has cost the people.
Very few value the castle.
Far more wish to see the glass castle fall.
Celebrations would be held
If the castle so hated was destroyed.
There are even fewer everyday
That believe that wretched castle
Can ever be destroyed.
Most believe the gods have abandoned them.
It is not so rare to see whole cities lose hope
All because of this castle of glass.
Nickleback once wrote, "If everyone cared and nobody cried If everyone loved and nobody lied If everyone shared and swallowed their pride Then we'd see the day, when nobody died"
