I've drawn regret
From all that I didn't do.
I'm asking mercy to come
So I can let go of what I've done
And move on.
I can't move on without cleaning the slate.
Even though I've started forgiving myself,
My hands shake with uncertainty
At what I've done
And what I didn't do.
Sometimes,
I wish the hands on the clock didn't turn one way.
I wish I could go back in time somehow
And change all the things I regret.
I know it must sound stupid,
But I can't help but think how things could be different
If I hadn't done some of the things I regret now.
Queen Latifah once said,"I made decisions that I regret, and I took them as learning experiences... I'm human, not perfect, like anybody else."
