Cody POV
1-11-15
"Grace?"
She was on her bed hooked up to a respirator and a few IV bags full of fluid, one of them being her new medicine from the Boston doctors. I sat on the side of her bed.
"How are you doing today?" I asked.
She replied with a shaky breath.
"Blink once if they told you not to talk."
She blinked.
"Ah. I see. Well I came to make sure you were warm."
I tucked her in and kissed her pale forehead after a nurse came to take off the heavy respirator so she could sleep.
"Good night, Grace."
I walked to her door to turn off the light.
"Stay," she whispered.
"Okay, I will."
"Don't leave," she said as I got in to bed next to her.
"As long as you won't, Grace."
