Hiccup POV

Dad had left me at school and I saw many kids being dropped off by their moms. I don't have a mom only a dad and uncle Gobber. He made tasty meatballs.

Many girls looked mean or they didn't like boys. All the boys played rough and said mean things to me. They called me Skinny bone Jones. My name is worse. Hiccup.

"Now come on Merida. I'll be back soon." I heard a mom say as she left a little girl crying with the teacher. She was.... not the same like the other girls. Her hair was messy. In a nice way. She didn't look mean. She looked scared. I wonder if she wants to be my friend.

"I'm Hiccup." I said sitting next to her as she cried.

"I-im M-m-Merida." She stopped crying already but she couldn't talk right.

"What's wrong?"

"M-m-m-my mom left me."

"She'll come back. My dad always comes back." I smiled at her. Maybe she'll smile too.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yup! Look lets go play with the play-dough!" I said pulling her towards the colorful cans.

I made a dragon with a black body and green eyes.

"Imma call him Toothless!" I told Mermaid.

"What did you make Mermaid?" I asked.

"My name is Merida. I made a blob of blue. My favorite color." She smiled.

"I like your smile." I told her.

She laughed and took part of my dragons tail. "Hey!" I yelled. Then she added a red part to it.

"Red just like my hair. His eyes are green. Like yours! Now it has something of both of us." She said.

"Oh yeah!"

10 years later

Merida was on my mind. I remember the day we met back in Kinder. I like her so much its killing me.

"Write her a letter." Jack said.

"Make a painting." Flynn suggested.

"Get her chocolates." Kristoff answered.

"Get her flowers!" The girls said.

I didn't want to be ordinary. I want to do something she'll smile about when she's old. I looked around my room when my guitar landed in my sight. I got it!

It was now exactly 10:39 pm. I threw a pebble at her window. And I began playing.

I saw her cover her mouth and laugh.

Oh, her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they're not shinin'
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying
She's so beautiful
And I tell her everyday
Yeah

I know, I know
When I compliment her she won't believe me
And it's so, it's so
Sad to think that she don't see what I see
But every time she asks me, "Do I look okay?"
I say,

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you are
Yeah

Her lips, her lips
I could kiss them all day if she'd let me
Her laugh, her laugh
She hates but I think it's so sexy
She's so beautiful
And I tell her everyday,

Oh you know, you know, you know
I'd never ask you to change
If perfect's what you're searching for
Then just stay the same
So don't even bother asking if you look okay
You know I'll say,

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you are

The way you are
The way you are
Girl, you're amazing
Just the way you are

When I see your face
There's not a thing that I would change
'Cause you're amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile
The whole world stops and stares for a while
'Cause, girl, you're amazing
Just the way you are

I finished the song to see she wasn't there. Suddenly I was tackled by a figure I knew too well. "I like your smile."

I smirked recalling the play-dough sculpture.

"I love yours." She said giving me a short kiss.

I felt something hard in my hand. Toothless.

"You still have it?" I smirked.

"Yeah his eyes remind me of yours. Green."

I pulled her into a hug.

Her hair all over my face. I like it that way.
