I park my car in a lot the next morning with the guys with me.

"What did Jane say?" I asked.

"She said everything returned back to 'normal', in which she meant the normal school day we always had when Vanessa was still here" Zane explained.

"Fuck, this is gonna be a long year" I grumbled.

"What about the other four?" Lucas asked.

"Well, Sofia and Isaac said they were gonna go back to their original hiding spot for lunch while Xena said she won't be making anymore conversation with us during school" Zane explained.

"And Emma?" Lucas asked.

"She said that since she doesn't understand what's going on, she'll just be in the library if either of us need her" Zane answered.

"So, how much time do we have until first period?" I asked.

"It's only eight ten, so...about twenty or so minutes" Lucas answered.

"Oh, Jane replied again" Zane informed us.

"What'd she say?" I asked.

"She said to meet her in the old Teacher's Lounge, ooh and to use ol' rusty and dusty to get there" Zane explained.

"Things really have gone to shit" I mumbled. "Well, let's go before we're spotted."

We started running into the school, dunking out of sight from the main office so we could get to Stairway 18, one of the abandoned stairways next to the office.
