Chapter 3

Laurens POV

I was ready and looking forward to my first day in a new college. I couldn't sleep at all because two things were stuck in my mind all night, school and Y/N. I don't know why but she was in my mind ever since I laid eyes on her. I tried to push it to the back of my head and tell myself that we would just remain as friends but last night at dinner I couldn't help but stare at her from time to time. I was amazed by the way she looked and the simple things shed do. Every time her sister would mess with her Y/N would get so upset that it was cute and funny, Of course she never stayed mad at her sister knowing that she was only joking.

I felt a buzzing in my back pocket that pulled me out of my thoughts.

Y/N<3 : Hey good morning , I'm outside when you're ready.

A smile started to creep on my face as I instantly read the text. I got up grabbed my bag, said goodbye to my parents and left. I walked out into the driveway and saw Y/N parked there in the most precious car I've ever seen. She had a black with red strips V8 challenger, the car looked like a perfect painting. I was surprised and honestly excited to even sit in the car. Y/N got out of the car as she saw me and walked over to me and greeted me with open arms. "Good morning, are you ready to go?" she pulled me into a hug and I couldn't help but smell the perfume she was wearing, the smell was exhilarating.

She pulled away and looked at me waiting for me to respond. "Good morning and yeah I am." She then walked over to the passenger of the car and opened the door for me. I was surprised for her to even do that small gesture for me because in all honesty I've never really had anyone open doors for me, it was always me. "Thank you." I got in the car and she gently closed the door and got in herself.

The car ride to school was quiet, the only thing playing was my favorite song by The Fray. I didn't notice that Y/N was singing along to the song, her voice was beautiful. I could listen to her sing all day and never get tired of her angelic voice. Ten minutes later the Miami Dade campus was in full view and my stomach turned, I was nervous. I was starting a new school away from my friends in New York and everything was just, different. "Don't be nervous, its not as bad as it looks." I had completely spaced out and had forgotten that I was still in the car with Y/N. "Its just everything is so new to me. I do hope we have classes together so I wouldn't be so lost." Y/N smiled and my heart instant fluttered with happiness, that smile of hers could brighten any ones day.

Y/N had guided me to the main office of the college and waited with me as I got my schedule. "can I see your schedule?" I nodded and handed her the piece of paper. She started to smile as she went down the list of all my classes. "Well looks like you're stuck with me all day Jauregui." I was in disbelief, we had all the same classes together. I quickly grabbed the paper from her hands and went over all the classes I got. "This is so great, I thought I was going to have to suffer in silence with stranger all around." We left the office and made our way to our first class.

It was finally lunch and Y/N decided to take me to this sandwich shop that she loved so much that she wouldn't stop talking about it in class. When we arrived at the restaurant Y/N was instantly greeted by the older gentlemen behind the counter, seems like she comes here often. The place was cozy and wasn't packed with people only a few college students. We ordered our food and when we had finished ordering everything Y/N had refused to let me pay. We sat down and I instantly fell in love with the way everything tasted. " This is so damn good." Y/N laughed and had this look on her face as if she was saying I told you so.

We finished eating and were heading back to the car going back to campus when Y/N got real tense at the sight of this girl across from us. "Lauren get in the car quickly please." I knew something was bound to happen and soon enough that girl started to shout at us. "Hey you worthless trash, I told you not to come." I instantly became furious, I looked over at Y/N and all she did was put her head down and started looking down at the ground. I stepped up and opened my mouth to that stupid bitch. " Excuse me, whats your fucking problem." I didn't bother looking at Y/N because I already had imagined the surprised look she had on her face. "whos this Y/N? your new bitch." I laughed and walked up the skank that was yelling. I heard Y/N walking up behind me to pull me back but I didn't let her. " For your information slut, I'm not her new bitch, I'm her girlfriend so I suggest for your safety that from now on you keep your mouth shut when you see her because I swear if I hear from you again ill drag you to the ground. Sounds good? Good." She had stayed silent and was speechless, I turned around and noticed how Y/Ns mouth was slightly open by my small threat to that obnoxious girl.

I grabbed Y/Ns hand and intertwined our fingers and walked back to the car. She had opened the door for me with shock still evident on her face. We were going back to campus and I started to get nervous by how quiet it was. I started to think maybe it wasn't a good idea for me to had said something, I mean after all I had said that I was her girlfriend just so that bitch would shut up. Just as I was getting ready to say something Y/N spoke up. " Thank you for doing that, I've never really had anyone stick up for me before." She looked over at me and gave me a small smile. "I told you I wouldn't let them hurt you." She nodded remembering the time in her room when I had first made that promise to her.

The first day was coming to a close and I was relived to see the day have gone by so smoothly. Y/N had driven me back home and I was quite pleased to see how happy she was around me after what had happen at the restaurant. After we had said goodbye to each other I went upstairs and laid on my bed. It was a good day, I learned a lot about Y/N and she had learned a lot about me. We were getting closer than we thought and by the looks of it we both didn't mind at all. I thought to myself..

I'm falling for her, I just hope she catches me.
