9.1 Adventure at the Door

"James, dear, can you get the door?" Shouts Ms. Alilard.
"Yes mom..."
Ash's eyes follow James until he leaves the room, then down to his drawing.
It was of his home- lonely and abandoned just like him. Ash imagines is has become even more unkept than before now that he has left. He was the only reason it was used after all, to keep him hidden.
Ash can hear James's voice and a few others at the door. Ms. Aliard joins the conversation after a few minutes.
Sneaking up to the doorframe, Ash listens into what they are talking about.
"Are you sure?" Ms. Aliard spoke in a whisper.
"He sent out a signal for help, but he was already gone. So, his exact location is unknown." Is that Jerard speaking?
