A horrible choice

The raptors, as much as they loved me, they were afraid of Wistala(Heater).

She was thinking in the wild, sitting in a hut that used to be hers. She had put away her things, not many but enough to live comfortably.

Wistala: "Nicolas... it's a human name... you were human before...

But your mommy, Svy was human too. I was human too..."

I was drunk with her explanations and didn't want to admit it.

Wistala: "We have to leave. We have to save our family..."

She describes her children, her mother and the wyverns...

For me it was a fairy tale.

And then the word that hurt me so much.

"Raptors are a bad influence on you. You become like them, a dinosaur..."

I loved them, my raptors...

Wistala: "I want to see Dantinne ..."

Suddenly, I was afraid for them.

"Mom ... you promise not to hurt them?"

Wistala: "Why would I do that?", surprised.

I felt a tension rising, imperceptible but there.

We came out of the maze and Dantinne was jealous.

I was greeted with a blow of tail.

Wistala: "Oh, the jealous ..." laughing. But her smile faded ...

Nicolas ... "Dantinne was born human and was forced into a dinosaur egg like me ..."

Wistala pressed his forehead against that of Dantinne. Then she began to cry.

They lobotomized before ... monsters ...

Nicholas ... you also turned her into a dragoraptor. I can not reverse the transformation ...

Me: "Leave her alone" putting me between Wistala and Dantinne ...

Dantinne understood then what she feared. Her dreams were memories and her tribe were ancient humans like her but. She made a moan and then ran to the beach.

Wistala wanted to follow her.

The little raptors came to her to comfort her.

Other raptors joined her and they hugged each other. After a while, she looked at me and I ditched Wistala, who wasn't welcome in the group.

I rushed at my friend and we fell asleep as a group.

But Wistala had other plans.

Being a dragon, she had always fought to keep her humanity at all costs.

Maybe I was wrong, but to become the unlucky Nicholas again, never! It was a nightmare and here I was happy. It's true about video games... but it's not forbidden for a dragon...

Besides, I'm not cold anymore...

Wistala was waiting for me to come back. But I stayed in the paws of Dantinne.

So she went into the maze for a long time.

The tomorrow, she was waiting for me at the exit.

"Nicolas, come ..."

I accompanied her and to my surprise everything was cleaned, tidied up as if it were new.

A secret door opened on a long corridor that went up to the top of the mountain and we arrived in a spherical room. We could see the stars and the ship in orbit.
