Ra thought he didn't get what he deserved with the gods. Although, they were not at fault for worshipping themselves over him, for he had nothing more and nothing less than them.
The only thing more he had than them was his craving for power, and the only power he had was over the sun and his beautiful treasure Hathor.
She was perfect. Beautiful and submissive. She never asked anything of him.
But she wasn't enough...
So he created a perfect cat, an embodiment of him. His name was Scorchlight. He was handsome and strong, and was sent to create a religion based on Ra and his way of life.
And so they did...
