Chapter 170: Nothing but surprises

Start from the beginning

"That's horrible." Uraraka said as she brought her hand up to her cheek.

"Yes, it is." he agreed just as the bell rang, which they then went to their desks.

When English rolled around, I had a gut feeling that something was going to happen out of the usual. Somehow my anxiety went through the roof as though it knew what was going to happen, while I didn't. I was then on edge for a while, or at least until I knew what was going on.

As soon as Present Mic had everything situated for the lesson, he looked up to the whole class and smiled. "I'm more than happy to be back here, though I'm still recovering a little. I guess I should explain why I was gone. Well, I had gotten injured quite badly during a fight." As soon as he said that, everyone was listening. "My neck was pretty much crushed, which then crushed my vocal chords to the point that no one could reconstruct them." He then quickly looked to me as if he was asking permission if he could say how he could talk now; I looked away and out the window. He smiled as he went on, "If it wasn't for Blanks healing skills, I wouldn't be able to be a hero anymore." My face began to get hot as I noticed more and more people began to look at me.

Since we all know that if we were to start asking questions, he'd probably forget about the lesson and tell more stories. So of course Kaminari raised his hand, "Who was the villain that you were up against?"

Mic then explained, "We don't know the name of the villain, but we do know his quirk, which was something like hurricane winds."

Sero raised his hand, "How did it all happen?"

Kaminari then added his ten cents, "Yeah, start from the beginning."

I knew what they were doing, so I just turned my head again as I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. Of course, we didn't do anything and I already knew that before Mic even walked through the door. As soon as the class ended, almost everyone had some sort of question. I could tell that Midoriya had many questions, but he didn't ask them until lunch. He actually stayed back the whole time and ate with Mirio, Eri, and I.

As soon as Midoriya got his seat situated, he began to ask me questions. "How did you know that Mic was injured?"

"I work alongside him a lot; along with Aizawa. Anyways, I was at the right place at the right time." I replied.

Mirio and Eri then walked through the door. Mirio said, "Oh, hey Midoriya! I wasn't expecting you to be here too."

Midoriya explained as he smiled, "I had a few questions for Y/N."

Eri pulled up a chair for herself as Mirio asked, "Oh, about last week?"

"Yeah, pretty much."

Mirio then nodded his head as Eri asked me, "Are you alright? You have a band-aid."

"It's nothing, I just fell; that's all." I answered.

"You have to be more careful." she said with a worried look.

I gave a smile as I put my hand on the top of her head, "Don't worry."

"Hey Y/N," Midoriya started, "how long did it take you to heal Mic?"

I quickly counted the days before replying, "About five to six days. I really pushed it on Friday."

"But you..." he then trailed off as he thought about it.

"As soon as school was over, I went right to the hospital and finished healing him." I said since that is what I figured he was asking about.

"Wow...so you healed his broken vocal chords?"
