Back to normal POV:

I was woken up by the sound of a raspy cough, which immediately made me think of Toshinori. I then began to wonder about the date and time. How long was I out for? Why am I back here? Were Aizawa and Yamada the ones who found me? Why am I still alive, I thought I killed myself. I opened my eyes and tried to sit up. I wasn't able to move, yet I was able to move my eyes. I then laid there for the longest time trying to fall asleep, but I couldn't. When I was trying to fall asleep, I heard someone, who I presumed was Toshi since I thought I heard him cough, walk up the spiral staircase. I darted my eyes open and looked towards the staircase. I watched him as he walked quietly towards me. When he noticed that my eyes were open, he kinda got startled.

"Y/N? Are you awake?" he asked as he crept closer; I winked in response. He then said in a relieved tone, "Thank god you're alright!" but then his relieved tone changed to sadness, "You had me worried, well you actually had all of us worried; Aizawa, Yamada, and I." He paused as he pulled the stool from my art table over to the side of my bed. "How are you? Are you alright?" I blinked once. He wasn't sure if I meant yes or no, so he came up with an idea. "You can't talk, right?" I blinked once again. "One blink means yes while two blinks mean no." I blinked once.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started tapping on it as if he was texting someone. After a few minutes he stopped and put it back into his pocket. He then noticed me looking at him, wondering what he was doing.

"I texted Aizawa and Yamada that you woke up. They're very excited to come back and see you." he said. I squinted at him as if I was asking why. He took notice and said, "Are you asking me why I texted them?" I blinked once. "They had me look after you while they're off at work and on patrol. They didn't what you to be alone when you woke up." I rolled my eyes. "What? They truly do care about you and are happy to look after you." He paused before adding in a quiet tone, "They too think of you as if you were a part of their family. They think of you as their own." I looked down. "You didn't know that?" I squint one eye as if I was saying 'not really'.

'I thought that they were just putting up with me because they were getting paid by Nezu to watch over me if a home attack happened...well shit...I guess they aren't doing it for money.'

His phone buzzed and he pulled it out to look at it. Instead of putting it back into his pocket, he held onto it as he rested his hand in his lap. I then started to dart my eyes towards it, trying to gain his attention to tell me the time.

"Are you looking at my phone?" he asked. I blinked once. "Are you wondering who texted me?" I blinked twice. "Oh, are you wondering the time?" I blinked once. He then looked at the time and said, "It's 2:03 in the afternoon." I looked up to the ceiling and stared at it. He quietly added, "They'll be back soon, so no need to worry when they'll be back. They were going to go on patrol today, but they took the day off by saying there was a family issue...which there kinda is." I closed my eyes tight.

'They think of me as family...why, just why couldn't I have had a family that cared for me like they do...'

It's all probably an act. They are more likely getting paid to look after your sorry ass.

'I agree with that, I too think they're getting paid to deal with me...I don't matter...'

Hey, I'm proud of you.

'For what?'

You tried to kill yourself without me being there to push you off the edge. Would you look at that, my little suicidal baby is all grown up.

'Ahh fuck off.'

"I'll let you sleep." Toshi said quietly as he then stood up and walked down the spiral staircase.
