When she was off getting the books that Yamada gave her, I went to the sofa. Just as I sat down, she made it back with the books in hand. "Wow, how many did he give you?" I asked.

"There's a good amount but I picked out my favorite ones." she said as she looked through the stack of books before handing me the one I should start with.

"You wanna start with this one?" I rasped out since I wasn't able to make it sound like I wasn't weak. She nodded her head. I then opened the book and began reading. It felt odd reading in English rather than reading translated stuff. It's been so long.

When I finished the first picture book, she said with a smile, "That one's my favorite."

"Yeah, it was a good one." I said as I gave the book back to her. The book was about a teddy bear being forgotten at a playground, which then the stuffed animal comes to life and goes on a journey to find its home. It eventually finds its way back home and is reunited with the little girl that it belonged to.

She took the book back and sat it on the pile of books next to her, "How long have you been living here?"

I looked up to think about it, "I'm not sure...it's been a while...a couple months or so after I started at UA I came here, so ever since then."

She nodded her head once slowly before asking, "Why do you have to live with them?"

"For protection from being attacked by villains. It's worked plenty." I said with a smile before looking down and adding in a near sad tone, "I don't belong here, it's just a temporary home, so it'll be just a matter of time before I have to go find elsewhere to live. Probably the same thing for you." but then looked up and finished with a smile, "But hey, it means that you have three people to protect you instead while you're here."

She tilted her head to one side, "Why do you always smile? I can see that you're sad, but yet you smile all the time. Why?"

"Well..." I began to stare out the window as I tried to come up with an explanation. Eri kept on staring at me as she waited for an answer.

"It's easier to show everyone that there is nothing to worry about when you smile, rather than showing that you don't feel happy like how everyone else feels." Aizawa said, making me jump while Eri didn't.

I put a hand over my chest as I felt my heart racing and hearing it pounding in my ears. "You scared me." I removed my hand as I turned around to see Yamada just finishing up untying his boots while Aizawa was standing behind the sofa. "How can you guys open the door so quietly? Whenever I get back, I just have to stand on the stoop outside and you guys somehow know I'm back."

"We have senses." he replied before asking, "So, what are you guys up to?"

Eri held up a couple books, "She's reading to me."

Aizawa took a book and flipped through it, "You can read English?"

"Yeah, it's all that I can understand." I said.

"What?"

"Yeah, a quirk translates everything." I paused, "Haven't I told you?"

"Well, not me."

Yamada joined as he said, "I knew."

Aizawa looked to him as he gave the book back to Eri, "Well, you're the English teacher, so of course you'd know." He then looked to me, "So you don't understand Japanese?"

"Nope, not one bit."

"Huh." he said as he started for his room.

"So, how are you feeling today?" Yamada asked as he leaded on the back of the sofa.
