Heather hated to be the conveyor of bad news. She'd teleported to the Light Castle to inform King Roman of the current situation to be told about Philip.

Now she was staring at her companions, trying to figure out what to say.

"Well, Heather?" Said Logan. "Did Roman say we could go through the portal or what?"

"He doesn't w-want us to go through the portal b-because..." She froze up in speaking and looked at the two male and one genderless human. Swallowing, Heather forced herself to continue. "Because Ph-Philip is..."

Joan raised an eyebrow. "Philip is what?"

The small imp began to shiver. "Philip is d-dead!"

The humans gave the yellow imp their undivided attention when she said that.

"He died?" Patton whispered.

"He was k-killed. By a pat-patrol of grey men..." Heather explained quietly.

No one spoke. No one could. Patton began to silently sob in an uncontrollable fashion and Logan just stared at Heather. Joan stood up and began pacing.
