"When do you go on patrol next?" Toshi asked.
I took another little scoop of pudding as I answered, "On Monday; I have to start at noon and end at nine at night, but after that it's back to normal hours. Weekends though are noon to nine."
"That's nice it's not going to be something that continues on for a while and makes you miss a lot of school." he said.
I nodded my head, "Yeah, I'm also glad about the weekend hours cause that means I get to sleep in and stay up late."
"And that's why you're always tired." Aizawa added before he took a sip of coffee.
Yamada remarked with a smile as he looked to Aizawa, "She sleeps throughout the day like-"
Just then a loud bang came from the counter area, resulting in the café getting so quiet that it seemed no one was inside. Everyone looked to the source of the sound. The four of us then shot up upon seeing what was happening. The tiny café was being held up.
The guy standing in front of the counter pointed his gun towards us and yelled the order, "Nobody move!" then pointed it back to the young lady who was behind the counter, manning the cash register. "Give me all you have." The young lady was scared and hesitant to move. "Do it!" The robber barked as he pushed the gun closer to her.
Since he was giving his full attention to the one who was gathering the cash, I slowly turned my head around to those behind me. I mouthed the words, "We have to do something." They just shook their heads slowly. I turned back towards the criminal and thought up of a plan. Just then a plan popped into my head.
I stared at the guy until I found the opportune time to execute my plan. I waited until his finger was off of the trigger of the gun before I knocked him out. I didn't want him to fall to the ground and out of the impact upon falling, the gun goes off and hits someone or causes more panic. Once he was on the ground I ran over and generated handcuffs to apprehend him. I held onto the cuffs as I looked to the young lady who was clearly shaken up.
"You can put the money back in it's appropriate place." I said before looking back to the criminal in front of me.
I picked up the gun with the handkerchief that Toshi gave to me. I pushed the hammer back in resting position, turned the safety on, and took the magazine out before wrapping it all up and leaning the criminal against the counter.
"Is-is he dead?" the lady behind the counter asked.
I shook my head, "Nope, he's just knocked out. He'll be alright, but he won't pose as a threat anymore."
There was then an applause from everyone in the café. I looked over to the other three that I was with. They too were clapping and smiling at my accomplishment. I could feel my face turn red since I wasn't used to that much recognition in one day. I then started to fill with anxiety since so many people were looking at me. Shortly later the police arrived and took the criminal away, along with his gun. I was able to keep the handkerchief though, thank god. Once the criminal was taken away, I joined the three at the table again.
I finished the rest of my pudding before saying in a wiped out tone, "I'm ready to go."
"You sure you don't want to save other people before we head back?" Yamada asked with a smile.
I sighed, "If I have to, I will, but for now, I wanna take a nap."
They all laughed as the waiter from before came to us with a smile and said, "Your bill has already been taken care of." He then turned to me, "Thank you young lady for your bravery. I would like to present this to you..." He handed me a card that had the cafe's logo and name on it. I took it as he explained, "This card is good for one year to order free meals."
I gave a bright smile (er well, the best smile that I could do), "Thank you very much." He then nodded his head, satisfied, and walked off.
"Maybe you should have ordered four meals and all the dessert that they have." Aizawa said with a smirk.
"Yeah, I should have." I said with a scoff.
We then left once they finished drinking their coffee, but I brought my tea along with me since it was in a to-go sort of cup. I finished it a little after dropping Toshi off at his place. Once I finished my tea, I laid down in the back and fell asleep almost instantly. I was woken up by something hitting my ankle. I squinted my eyes open and noticed that I was being carried. I raised my head as I opened my eyes the rest of the way.
"Ack, sorry I woke you." Yamada said as he walked through the door sideways. "Also, sorry I hit your foot on the side of the door frame."
"It's fine, it'll take more than that to take me out." I replied in a tired tone.
He sat me on the ground so I could take off my shoes, which he then took off his too. "But still..." he paused, "Are you going to kill me from rage since I woke you?" he asked in a worried tone.
"Huh? It was an accident, so it doesn't matter." I said as I walked to the sofa in the living-room and flopped down.
I heard another pair of footsteps, so I figured that it was Aizawa since it was closer than what Yamada could have been. I then saw him appear from around the sofa carrying something rolled up. Aizawa turned to me and held out the rolled up burrito of fluff. "Here, it's your 'congratulations present' from Zashi and I on your accomplishment of becoming the number one hero." I sat up and accepted the gift. Once I had a hold of it, he let go. I wasn't anticipating a blanket that looked so soft and light to be so heavy. He smirked as he watched it fall on my lap. "It's a weighted blanket if you couldn't tell."
I then got excited and ripped off the thin cardboard that was keeping it rolled up. I unraveled it and wrapped it around myself. "I've always wanted one but could never find them in the mall." I said with a smile.
"I have one and it helps me, so I'm more than sure you'll find it comforting." he said as he walked to the table.
"Thank you very much for it. I absolutely love it!" I said in the direction of the table where Yamada was already sitting and looking at students' papers, which Aizawa was going to do the same too.
"No problem." said Aizawa.
Yamada looked up from the papers and said with a smile, "Glad you like it."
I then laid back down and covered myself with it. It felt so nice. It was like I was being covered in a bunch of cats. I felt like I fell asleep faster than how I did in the car or any other time that I fell asleep pretty fast. I woke up in the middle of the night to a light that was shining in the close distance. I pulled the blanket back and sat up to stretch. I looked to the table to see that they were still sitting there; sleeping obviously. Yamada had his head resting between his fists which were holding it up and looking down as if he was still reading a paper, while Aizawa had his head lying completely on the table. I stood up, folded my blanket and draped it across the back of the sofa. I then grabbed two blankets from the basket in the corner of the living room and covered the two who were asleep at the table.
Since the light that hung overhead the table had a dimmer switch, I turned it down a little so it wasn't so bright. I then walked back to the sofa and picked up my blanket before going to my room. I threw my new blanket on my bed before going to the bathroom to change and to clean up a little. I then opened the door to see that Melody was waiting for me to go to bed. I picked her up and went up the stairs. I sat her on my bed before climbing in and situating my new blanket. I felt like shit mentally, and when I do, I don't sleep that night, but since I had a weighted blanket now, I fell asleep pretty fast again.
