Chapter 91: I'm a horrible person

Start from the beginning

I could tell that a wave of relief came over Yamada even though I was standing behind him. "Thank you, sorry for coming in and bothering you."

She said with the smile still on her face, "Oh, it's no problem. It gives me something to do since it gets boring during the night and this early in the morning."

He smiled as he took a step back, almost stepping on me, and said, "Well then, I'll be back at around ten."

We started walking away as she said, still carrying the smile, "Alright, see you then."

When we got in the car he let out a sigh of relief, yet when he spoke he sounded angry. "He could have let me know that he was pulling an all nighter."

"It looks like you pulled an all nighter. As soon as we get back you should sleep so you can cram a few hours in; you could get, what, five-ish hours of sleep?" I said as I pulled the seat belt on.

He sighed as he started the car, "Yeah, I should really do that."

We drove in silence since I tried to fall asleep again. When we got back to the apartment, I went straight to my room and fell asleep in the clothes that I was wearing, spitting out my gum beforehand. What felt like five minutes later, I was woken up again. This time Yamada was shaking me violently as he was yelling, activating his quirk every once in a while.

"Y/N! You have to wake up! Wake. Up!"

I covered my ears as I sat up with squinty eyes, "What!? What do you want now!?" I yelled as I took my hands from my ears slowly.

He replied quietly, "I'm sorry I was so loud...I'm sorry to wake you again."

I was even angrier now that I was woken again. I said in a clear angry tone, "What?"

"Sho's-"

"He's not back? News flash! He can fend for himself, he's a grown man for fucks sake! He. Is. Okay." I cut him off in a furious tone. Upon seeing that I hurt him, I buried my face in my hands.

Why are you such an ass?

'I don't know...I'm so tired and I keep on getting woken up...I am such a horrible person.'

Yeah, you are!

'He's clearly worried about the one who he cares so deeply for and here I am, getting pissed at him for caring so much. I should die for being this way.'

You think?

I removed my hands and looked at him with sorry in my voice, "I'm sorry for snapping like that," I folded the cover back, kicked my feet out and stood up, "I'm just tired 'n..." I let out a sigh of regret, "I'm sorry."

"No, it's fine, I shouldn't have been-"

"Just...What is it that you needed?" I said in a calm tone, cutting him off again.

Hesitantly he said, "He should have been back by now...He got off at eight, yet it's past ten now and he's still not back. It shouldn't have taken him this long."

"It's past ten?! You should have clocked in already!" I said.

"Don't worry, the lady who we talked to earlier this morning called and said that I can start at noon since there was this group of heroes that clocked in at the time I was supposed to, so now I have to go in at a later time." he explained.

"Okay then." I said before I paused to think of a reasonable excuse why Aizawa wasn't back yet. "Could have he gone to get a drink? Does he drink? What if he had a bad day-well night-and wanted to relax a little and stop at a bar er something?"
