Episode 23 I'm in love with you: The Joy of "Cooking" up the Main Course

After our rascal Albatross finally gave up the "friendship game" that he was playing with Sanem and at last professed his love to her, our love birds could be the true lovers they were meant to be. And now that their true feelings are out, there's no stopping them from showing their love and affection to each other as they've waited long enough...and perhaps it's even more exciting that it's kept secret from everyone.

It was obvious they couldn't wait to get things started. It only took one night apart to further intensify their passion for each other....it's no wonder they're so excited to see each another the next morning at the office. Perhaps there was a reason Sanem chose that particular tiger print top to wear that day... Was it that she simply wanted to wear the current fashion trend...or maybe she was feeling a little frisky and wanted to reveal her inner tiger to Can. I think it's probably the latter as not even a few minutes after seeing him in his office the next morning she was sending him signals that she wanted him to kiss her. It was obvious that he was very tempted, as he was close enough to smell her scent but he was frustrated because he couldn't kiss her right then and there, in the office, for fear of being caught. When she leaves, the temptation for a little Sanemci is more than he can handle... He needs to find an excuse to be alone with her. Out of the blue he announces to his staff that he needs to leave to do a "job"...What other job could be more important to a completely aroused man than to be alone with his Love...yeah...So shortly after he leaves, he texts Sanem and tells her to make an excuse to sneak away so that they could be together....How romantic!! ❤️❤️

These feelings continue to escalate as he surprises her in the underground parking and tells her that he can't wait to be alone with her so he can hold her and kiss her and that he has much more in store for her at his place. Later in the car he admits to her he can't wait to show her his love and she to show hers to him. Sanem then says, "well...let's get started being lovers!" At this point, we all know where this "should" lead but this is "Erkenci Kus", so if they can't express their love in the bedroom then what better place to poetically show their "love-making"...than in the kitchen. And since
their love of food has been a major theme throughout their entire love story what better metaphor to represent their love making than to show them cooking together, where they can combine all the ingredients to create a wonderful masterpiece.

Can had ulterior motives when he allowed Sanem to cook for him. The intent was not necessarily to eat the food, which is why he called ahead for pizza. But he didn't want to lose the chance to "cook up a little something-something" with her. In the kitchen they can show their hunger for each other, put the heat on, become giddy with excitement, have some fun together and cook up a storm... Can also didn't miss the opportunity to guide Sanem around the kitchen and show her a few things, being an experienced cook and all. And what better dish to cook than one that she already knows how to do (spaghetti with meat sauce)...but now with him, it would be just so much better (spaghetti bolognese). Cooking has its psychological benefits but cooking with your partner can be a very intimate activity...it helps to bring couples closer together. We know that food and sex are two of the most primal indulgences and the connection between them makes perfect sense. They're both comforting activities and shared with those you love. Not to mention, they both can get pretty messy. Can and Sanem keep it pretty tame but nevertheless besides the chopping, cutting, frying, boiling there was also a lot of non-food related "cooking" activities going on too, like embracing, kissing, playing, teasing, bickering, touching, nuzzling, crying, laughing, dancing, which are all essentially acts of foreplay for those who missed the punch-line...and definitely got their juices flowing. The amount of heat they produced was too much for the ingredients to handle and so everything ended up in one hot mess, including our love birds. But it's ok because it just shows that they're still new at cooking together and they'd have to practice a bit more to get it right. And although the food may not have been fit to be eaten, I think they both were pretty satisfied with the outcome! 😉
After all this physical activity, what better food is there to satisfy their cravings than pizza which they can also feed to each other. And for dessert, what could be more of a treat than a sweet revelation from each of them about the other, in which Sanem confesses to him that it's her first time (having a boyfriend) and he admitting to her that despite his past experiences, she is his first love. ❤️ And judging from the amount of passion these two lovers have for each other, you can expect there will be a lot more "cooking" going on in the future. And yes, it will just make us hungrier for more! 😉
