"Don't look so shocked beautiful. It's what I've been telling you this whole time."

He stood up and walked to my bedroom. When he walked out, he had his shirt on and looked fucking perfect.

HOW? He ran his ring clad hand through his hair and grinned at me, his dimples popping out.

"Ready?" He asked.

I gulped again, fighting the reaction of just running and jumping into his strong arms.

"Ye-yeah, I'm ready." I grabbed my bag and walked towards the door.

I opened it, walked through and waited for Colby to come through so that I could lock it. He came through a moment later with Prissy in his arms.

"What are you doing?" I exclaimed, trying to take her from him and put her back in the apartment. "She can't come out here, I've already lost her one time."

He rolled his eyes at me but he was smiling. "You didn't lose her. She was at my house. She loves it there. Don't you sweet girl?" He cooed at her, and nuzzled her under his chin.

I almost melted just from that, right there on the hallway floor.

"What do you mean, you had her? I was freaking out! And some stranger had just broken into my damn apartment. I was scared and she wasn't here! Why did you take her?" I was extremely mad now. "You had no right to that Col-"

Next thing I know, his perfect lips are moving against mine in a way that almost had my knees buckling beneath me.

What was I saying again? Who cares! This was amazing.

I felt his cool tongue swipe against my bottom lip, asking for entrance, so I opened to him without a second thought. His tongue moved against mine, and I actually think my knees did start buckling because I felt myself shift down before one of his arms circled my waist, keeping me up. A few more seconds of this and I might actually just have a heart attack with the way that it was pounding against my chest.

My body was reacting like it knew exactly what to do, my arms winding around his neck, fingers fisting in his hair, pulling slightly to get the groan that I somehow knew would come. When he broke the kiss, he pressed his forehead against mine, staring into my eyes. I was breathing heavily, feeling weak as shit, but he seemed just fine, breathing normally.

The only thing I noticed was his eyes had that look in them again like he wanted to have me for dinner. I can honestly say it excited the hell out of me. Then I realized that he had Prissy sandwiched in between us, but protecting her with his arm.

Oh yeah, I was arguing at him. I forgot. He made me forget.

I smacked him on the arm that he had wrapped around my waist after untangling my hands from his hair.

"You did that on purpose just to shut me up!" I exclaimed.

He grinned wolfishly, and tightened his grip on my waist.

"It worked though, didn't it?"

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't stop the grin that formed on my lips. "Shut up." I replied. "You took my cat. Why did you take my cat?" I sounded pathetic, not even angry anymore.

A whiny tone had escaped my lips, something I did not expect. He was already changing me.

He chuckled and brought his hand to my face, placing those attractive hands on my jaw.

"Because you were staying with me for a while. She obviously came with you. Then you lost your memory and she was still at my place so I brought her home. Still mad?"

No, now I felt like a jerk for yelling at him. I felt my face flush and heard him let out a low groan.

"We should go." He said, pulling the door closed behind him.

I nodded, and locked the door, before we started walking down the hall, side by side. Prissy seemed as comfortable as she could be in his arms. That only made me trust him even more.

When we got downstairs he led me to a older model red Toyota Corolla.

"You drive this?" I asked, in surprise.

He glared at me a little.

"Yes I do, and don't start talking trash about my baby."

I laughed, a snort escaping my nose. "I wasn't going to. I just didn't expect you to drive something so...reliable."

He unlocked the car and we both got in. He settled Prissy over his shoulder, where she got comfortable using the head rest to balance. I was amazed by this.

I didn't even know she could ride in a car without flipping the fuck out but apparently I was wrong.

"What did you expect? Some kind of flashy sports car?" He asked.

I shrugged as he started the car and pulled out into traffic.

"I don't know, maybe. Not this. It's comfortable though."

He grinned at me proudly. "Yeah, I love her."

It didn't take us long to get to his place because he drove FAST. By the time he pulled into the driveway, I was gulping for breath.

"Fuck!" I exclaimed, half over how I thought I was going to die in a fiery car accident, and half over how huge his house was. "This is yours?" I gasped out.

He nodded as he parked the car.

"Yeah. Well, mine and the others. I have a lot of...roommates."

He gathered Prissy to his chest, and we got out of the car. I was apprehensive walking up to the doorway of the massive house. It looked like a damn mansion.

"Don't be nervous. Everyone here loves you." I nodded and gulped, taking another step towards the door, before my steps faltered. "You don't have to do this if you aren't ready." The pressure from his hand on the small of my back lessened.

I shook my head.

"No." I took a deep breath. "It's fine. I'm ready. Let's meet my friends."

He grinned so widely, I thought his face might split. His cheeks lifted up, all of his teeth showing, and his dimples popped out. I didn't stop myself this time.

I reached up and pushed my index finger into one of them grinning back at him.
