I was nervous. Colby had his hand on the small of my back, leading me back to the room where I first saw him. Still thought he was a jerk, but now not as much.

He grabbed the door knob and twisted, leading us into the room. Sam and Kat were already here, her on his lap on his regular bean bag. Mike was sitting on the other, but got up and moved to the couch with Kevin and Elton, as soon as he saw Colby.

"Hey gorgeous, decide to come visit us again?" Elton drawled out, sliding his tongue over his teeth and looking at me like I was actually a meal that he wanted to sink his teeth into.

"Not really," I replied, gathering my courage against all of these intimidating ass men. "Kat can't seem to stay away so I had to come if I wanted to see my friend." I smiled at him sweetly, then looked around the room.

Where the hell was I suppose to sit?

Elton wasn't standing this time, so he was taking the spot that I sat in last. The only other option was the bean bag chair with Colby, and I wasn't about to sit in his damn lap. Especially when he kissed the life out of me, then went back to being all rude and mopey.

I was seriously getting whiplash from his mood swings, and I didn't know how to take it. He was making me second guess everything I said, or did. In just two days since meeting him!

"Hey Chloe, good to see you again." Mike said, smiling at me while he played with the lock chain around his neck.

Kevin just smiled and nodded, then looked away. Colby dropped his hand from my back and went to sit on the bean bag, dropping down on it, and looking at Sam.

"Did you eat?" He asked.

Sam looked tired, the shadows under his eyes dark, making his face seem more pale than usual. He shook his head, not meeting Colby's gaze. He almost seemed like he was in pain.

"You should go do that." Colby replied, nodding his head towards the door.

What, was he diabetic or something and Colby had to make sure that he ate? Weird.

Sam looked at Kat, then over to Colby and nodded. He patted Kat's leg, asking her to scoot over so that he could get up.

"I'll be back in a few minutes. Don't go anywhere."

She giggled, looking like a lovestruck teenager and blew him a kiss as he turned around and walked out.

I took the chance to plop down in the bean bag next to Kat, so I didn't look like a damn fool just standing there. Whatever happened to chivalry? None of the guys had offered to let me sit, or even bothered to scoot over.

"So," Kat whispered as soon as I sat down. "How'd it go?" I pretended like I didn't know what she was talking about and she huffed out a breath. "The car ride dummy! Did you guys talk about that kiss? Or maybe even try for another one?" She was whispering quietly, but I swear all the guys were staring at us, like they could hear, even over the music that was playing.

Colby looked even more pissed off, and maybe even a little embarrassed.

"Nothing happened. Can we not talk about this right now? We have an audience."

Kat looked around the room, but they had all turned their heads away. Colby was glaring at Mike, Kevin, and Elton, like he was daring them to move. What the fuck was going on?

Elton glanced back at Colby, then towards us, meeting my gaze. "So Sweetheart, you gotta lucky someone that gets to see that beautiful body of yours?"

Before I could answer, and tell him to stop calling me all of those stupid ass pet names, Colby jumped up off of the bean bag. He was seething, but I didn't know why. Hell, I never knew why.

He was always pissed, unless he was trying to piss me off, or kissing me senseless. At least he wasn't glaring at me this time. I could only take so much hostility in one night.

"I'm going to check on Sam." He turned his head back to me and Kat. "Stay here." Then back to the guys, mainly Mike. "Don't let them leave this room...with anyone."

Wait, what? Were we hostages? I did not like the sound of that, Kat seemed unbothered.

Colby stalked out of the room, before I could say or do anything. Elton was leering at me, while Kevin and Mike were now on their phones.

"What if I have to use the bathroom?" I asked, looking at Mike.

I was more comfortable with him than the others, for some reason.

"Do you?" Elton asked.

I shook my head. "No, but why would he say don't leave and don't let us leave? That's some Hollywood scary movie shit. Do you have a room covered in plastic somewhere, that you kill people in?"

This struck all the guys as hilarious. Kat shifted a little next to me, getting a little uncomfortable herself. All three guys were laughing so hard that I didn't think they were going to stop.

"Why was that funny?" Kat whispered.

 I shrugged.

"We don't kill people." Mike said, still grinning widely at me with humor.

"Anymore." Kevin replied, his grin even wider.

"Speak for yourselves." Elton said, looking at the guys instead of me.

"Shut up Elton. You know that's not...we can't. Just shut up." Mike replied to him.

What...THE FUCK? Were they joking? They were joking. They had to be joking.

"You're joking right?" I asked, a little haughtily, my attitude coming out with the bit of fear crawling up my spine.

"Of course we are." Mike replied, just as Sam came back into the room.

I stood up to let him have his seat. He looked a lot better than he had earlier, his face slightly flushed, the shadows under his eyes less pronounced. Maybe he was sick and I didn't know it.

I would have to remember to ask Kat if she knew anything.

"Hey babygirl." He said, pulling her into his lap.
