We went back and forth discussing horror movie villains for a bit, before switching over to likes and dislikes on more normal topics. Before I knew it, my alarm went off, signalling me that it was time for me to leave.

"I have to go back to work." I replied, disappointed.

I was enjoying myself.

He nodded and stood up with me.

"Can I walk you to your car?"

I smiled. "Sure."

I turned to go and he walked beside me, pressing his hand to the small of my back to lead me to my car. The touch was intense for some reason, but also familiar. Everything about him was familiar.

Could he be telling me the truth? I stood at my car door, shuffling my feet as I looked at the ground. He was standing in front of me, and it was making me nervous.

My phone alerted me to a text, so I pulled it out of my jacket pocket. It was from a number I didn't know.

I glanced up at Colby to find him smiling at me, holding his phone up.

"Now you have my number officially. I had fun arguing over who the better villains are. I'd like to do it again but I don't want to pressure you into it, so you can just text or call whenever you want. Doesn't matter how late or early. Okay?"

I nodded, and gave him a shy grin.

Since when was I shy?!

What was he doing to me?

This was so fucking insane.

"I'll try to tell you more of the actual situation after you read your story too, if you want. I hope I hear from you soon."

His blue eyes burned into mine, the silver ring flexing just a bit. I couldn't look away, even if I wanted to. There was something about him that was tugging at my heart, not wanting him to leave me.

I licked my lips nervously and he broke our gaze when he glanced down to my mouth, then back up again. He wanted to kiss me. I felt it somehow.

Fuck it.

Take chances right? He leaned forwards, just as I did, our lips connecting softly at first. A slow kiss that had me exhaling a sigh into his open mouth as his tongue pushed against mine.

I didn't want it to ever end. My body starting zinging with that same electricity, every nerve inside of me telling me that this was somehow right. My subconscious tried to break through telling me that I was stupid, that there was something wrong with this guy, that he broke into my house, and he was probably a stalker serial killer or something.

At this particular moment in time, I didn't give a shit. I shoved her into the deepest corners of my mind and locked the door, reveling in the feel of his soft lips against mine. They were cooler than I expected them to be.

A moan escaped my throat as his hands came up to my hips, fingertips digging into the soft flesh there, through my light skirt. My lips felt like they were at home and they never wanted to leave. Suddenly, he jerked back, and kept his head down not looking at me.

I brought my hand up to my mouth, feeling the lingering imprint from his lips on mine. I was scared to move, or even breathe just then. I just wasn't sure why.

He looked up at me finally, his blue eyes a darker shade than normal, his lips swollen from our kiss. He removed his hands from my waist, and held my gaze as he took one of my hands in his. I felt the cold metal from his rings against my skin as he brought my hand to his lips, and pressed a feather light kiss to it.

"I'll be waiting to hear from you Love." With that, he turned and walked off.

I watched him go back across the street and around the corner, until he disappeared in the crowd of people.

What in the actual fuck just happened? I touched my lips again with the pads of my fingers, unable to comprehend what exactly I was feeling just then.

How did he have that affect on me? It wasn't normal to feel this way about someone you just met.

Wait...didn't he say he was my boyfriend? I had momentarily forgotten that part because I got stuck on the other things that he was saying that I had forgotten.

Honestly, I didn't believe that part because why in the hell would that god of a man want me? It just didn't seem fathomable. I opened my car door, and basically fell into my seat, my head swimming from what he had told me, and from the remnants of that amazing kiss.

After a few minutes, I remembered that I was supposed to be at work so I started the car, and drove carefully back. My legs still felt wobbly as I made my way inside the building. Lilly was watching me as I walked in.

"Did you have a good lunch?" She asked, a smirk on her face.

I just smiled and nodded, not sure that I could speak just yet. She looked disappointed that she wasn't going to get details but I couldn't worry about that right now. I walked inside Mr. Roberts office, and sat down at my desk.

He was on a phone call so thankfully, I didn't have to speak to him either. I tried to concentrate on my work and for the most part, I was able to. Every now and then, those blue eyes, soft lips, and ring clad hands crept back into my brain.

When Mr. Roberts finally told me that I could go, I was more than ready. I grabbed my stuff, listened to him tell me how great my first day had gone and that he would see me tomorrow, then all but ran out the door to my car. I wasn't as careful on the way home as I had been earlier.

I wanted to read my story. I knew what I had written though, and that the main character's name was Cole. I had just written in it last night.

Maybe I didn't remember everything since I just so happened to go chapter by chapter with whatever came to mind, but I would know if there were similarities between Colby and Cole...right? No, I wouldn't, because I can't even remember how the story started to begin with.
