Chapter 30: More Updates and Clues

Aurora stepped out of the shower room in her clean clothes, and jacket. She still felt exhausted from what she learned about her dad, but looking at her glowing clothes and emerald calmed her down. 

   At least everybody else is okay. Except for one. Aurora thought as she remembered her mom. But then she looked at the stars, and saw Amy Rose's face, alongside Cream's. 

   "You're destined for greatness..." Amy's voice echoed in Aurora's head. "You always do your best to cheer anybody up! That's what makes you so special!" Cream's voice added.

"Get her!" a nine year old Billy shouted as his friends went to grab Cream's skirt. She immediately used her ears to flap above everyone. Until nine year old Spazz Cat (son of Wild Cat) used his good aim to throw a basketball at straight in her face. She struggled to keep flying but managed. 

   Cream's not one to fight kids, so she just dropped her grocery bags and went to evacuate the scene. But a 12 year old desert rat/goat hybrid girl by the name of Mara (daughter of Charlie and Belinda) in her homemade Kangaroo-Mech suit jumped up to the rabbit's height, grabbed her legs and swung her down hard on  the ground. "Where do you think you're going, Miss Goody-TwoShoes?" 

   Cream didn't respond, she just shoved the upcoming kids out of the way and got up to run. Until a rock was thrown at her legs, enough to knock her down. Then her ears. She was about to cry until she saw Chumley coming around, saying, "Are you okay, Miss Cream?" 

   He offered his hand to her, and she was about to accept it until Billy slapped their hands away, saying, "You have no right to interfere you worthless background character! Butt out!" 

   Immediately teenage Chumley was about to protest, but was cut off when Mara used her little Mech suit to wrap around him, covering his mouth, and preventing him from moving. "Listen to him, if you don't want to end up like her!" 

   The walrus boy was silenced, and just stared at the defenseless rabbit. I'm sorry, his look read. 

   Cream's big eyes stared at them, and she said, "Please, I don't want any trouble! Just leave me alone!" 

   "Your friends aren't here to protect you now!" Spazz Cat replied. The group started to surround her until a pink blur passed by. 

   Next thing Cream knew everyone was being attacked by homing attacks  and running away, including Chumley. With an ten year old Aurora standing in front of her. "Next time you'll think twice before you tease my BFF again!" the young girl screamed, causing all the witnesses to back away slowly. 

   Then Cream told her that the kids were teasing her because they found out that she had a crush on her Uncle Tails. Even if he was already dating her Aunt Zooey. The little hedgehog was irritated but assured her that she wouldn't tell anyone else, and she'll always be there for her. Then they hugged. 

   "I love you, Cream."  

   "I love you too, Light." 

   Then they heard someone running towards them, and Aurora turned back to see her mom running after her with her hammer. 

   "Rory, don't you ever run off like that again! Your father, Uncle Knuckles and Aunt Sticks are away and yet you-" Amy Rose stopped as when she saw Cream just then getting up. The adult hedgehog then dropped her hammer and hugged her, kissing Aurora on the cheek afterwords. 

   "Mommy! I'm not a baby anymore!" 

   Tails appeared, asking what had happened, with Cream lightly blushing, and grinning slightly.
