"In order to find you, I had to search where no one else thought to. It seems I made it just in time, too!" Deku said. "Let's go! We need to get back to the streets to alert the pros!"

"We can't move, Deku..I think it's his Quirk!" you breathed. "Since he stabbed us, we've been paralyzed.."

"So cutting somehow activates his Quirk, huh?" Deku said as he looked back in Stain's direction. Deku realized that there was another hero in the alleyway too. Now this made the situation a lot harder. 

"Midoriya, please! Don't..get involved..! Take (y/n) to safety..! I must defeat this villain." Tenya gasped. "This doesn't have anything to do with either of you!"

"Iida.." Deku said. 

"You showed up to save your friends' lives. Even made a grand entrance. But I have a duty to kill them, and this so called pro." Stain said as he watched Deku. "When your friends chose to fight me, it set the stage for the weaker to be culled from the herd."

Deku froze in fear as he watched the Hero Killer. 

"So? What will you do?" Stain continued. 

'He's different from past villains we've faced..' you thought. 'His eyes are those of a fanatic..a lunatic with an urge to purge.'

You realize that you had full control of your limbs, and while distracted by Izuku, you took the chance to not be seen by Stain and carefully whip out your phone. It hurt to see so many messages from Shouto asking where you are, but you couldn't reply right now.

After doing something really quick, you put it away.

You saw Deku doing the same thing.

"Stand down! Run away!" Tenya said. "I told you, this has nothing to do with you two!"

"If you really believe that.." Izuku started. 

"Then why are you trying to become a hero in the first place?!" you growled out the last of the response as you slowly stood. You put your hand to your back laceration and flinch in pain. Using boiling hot water and steam, you cause it to coagulate quickly and stall bleeding. Your shoulder could wait. 

"There are plenty of things that I'd like to say..but they'll have to wait." Deku said. "All Might was right though..Meddling where you don't have to is the essence of being a hero!"

Stain looks up at Izuku in surprise. A grin graced itself upon his features and you both ran towards him. You sent a torrent of scalding water at Stain. It hit him in the side, with Izuku getting in close for a punch. You gasp as you see Stain about to slash Izuku in the face. You push him out of the way and when you do, the blade comes into contact with the mouth cover of your headpiece, cutting a large portion off in one clean slice. You gasp at how close the blade got to your nose. Tripping slightly forward, the Hero Killer tried cutting you again. All you heard was the snap of your hair tie as your hair was let loose.

"(y/n)!" Deku yells. He soon jumps away at your warning glance and you look back at Stain.

Stain took out a smaller blade without you noticing and slashed at your arm. You flinch and Stain licks the blood off quickly, deeming you useless for another period of time. As long as Deku was free, you felt relief. 

"Where did he go.." Stain said as he stood over you. You look up and realize that Deku was in the air, right over Stain.

"A five percent..Detroit Smash!" Deku yells as his fist collides with the Hero Killer's head. 

"Go, Deku." you quietly murmur in admiration as you watch the green boy.  He's flying around, just like Katsuki. You wanted to see your best friend right now.

Deku lands and looks around for Stain. All of a sudden, Deku falls to his kness and looses his movement. You look and see that Stain had just a drop of Izuku's blood - most likely from a slight graze. 

"You're not powerful enough." Stain says as he stood over Deku. "It's not that you predicted my movements. You just left my field of vision and maneuvered to get a clean shot." he states as he begins to walk towards you, since you were closest. "There are countless heroes around these parts that are all talk. However, you are the only one here worthy of staying alive." he spoke. 

"Wait! Don't-- STOP IT!" Deku yelled as the Hero Killer's blade tip rested against your temple. You stared at it in horror. You were going to die.

"GET AWAY!" Deku yelled once more. You tightly shut your eyes and couldn't get rid of the few tears that began to run down the side of your face. You braced yourself for the feel of the blade in your head.

But it never came.

Instead you heard flames.

Your eyes open immediately and you began to cry more at the sight of Shouto.
