As they were walking across a bridge, two beings stopped and looked down. The bridge's reflection made a perfect ring in the water.
"You know, they used to call this 'The Devil's Bridge.'" Said one.
His companion arched an eyebrow. "Why's that?"
"They thought the bridge so magnificently engineered that only I could have made it. There was a legend and everything."
"Did you?"
"Build the bridge? No. I may have authored the legend."
"Fan of taking credit, are you?"
The demon shook his head. "Humans build wonders, but they'll believe they're lazy if you give them the right story."
