Every morning when girl came to the village, all the animals came out to greet her. She would skip through the streets and wonder at how silly it all was, seeing the rabbits with spectacles and badgers in waistcoats.
They all took turns entertaining the girl, singing her songs and telling her stories. Teaching her games, and always letting her win, but not too easily. They foraged food for her to eat, and when she left at sundown, the whole village gathered to wave goodbye.
They doted on her, in hopes that one day she would decide change them back.
