It was another day in the locker room at the Fortress of Vigilance. Pax Ramona adjusted her cape in the mirror and lowered her ornate helmet, festooned with plumes and carved figures, onto her head.
"Doesn't the helmet make fighting crime difficult?" Horse Girl asked. She was new. Ramona gave an encouraging smile as she finished getting ready.
"I wear it so that my opponents can see me coming. For women in this field, it's important to show strength. And my helmet isn't as cumbersome as you'd think."
"I'll remember that."
"Plus," she leaned in conspiratorially."It has pockets!"
