The trespasser entered the clearing slowly, as the beast was drinking from a puddle. He reached for his camera, and it sniffed, suddenly sensing him. The t-rex raised its head and roared just as I drove up in my jeep.
I grabbed the tourist and threw him in the back. I'd deal with him later. For now, I reached up and stroked the quaking dinosaur's snout.
"Did the mean man frighten you?" I cooed. "It's okay. Who's my brave boy?" he chirped and licked my palm. We keep people away, so they don't realize how tame they really are.
