KNOWHERE. 2014

ZARIA'S order of obtaining the stones got changed when she learned the person Gamora was selling the orb to was the Collector. On the flight to Knowhere, Zaria and Lyra devised a plan. Zaria was going to take the stone while the Collector was distracted by the misfits. Lyra told Zaria to use the smoke bombs from her pouch to create the distraction, allowing her to take the stone without being seen.

"Milady Gamora. I'm here to fetch you for my master," Catarina said as the group reached Knowhere. Zaria shuttered as they walked in, her hand gripping her pouch tightly.

"Okay, this isn't creepy at all."

"We house the galaxy's largest collection of fauna, relics, and species of all manners. I present to you. Taneleer Tivan, the Collector," Catarina introduced, Zaria staring at Taneleer, the Collector, as he walked in. The man didn't seem intimidating or harmful, but Zaria knew not to judge a book by it's cover.

"Oh, my dear Gamora. How wonderful to meet in the flesh."

"Let's bypass the formalities, Tivan. We have what we discussed."

"What is that this there?" The Collector asked, looking over at Groot.

"I am Groot." Zaria noticed the look in the Collector's eyes, causing her to stand in front of Groot protectively.

"I never thought I'd meet a Groot. Sir... you must allow me to pay you now so that I may own your carcass. At the moment of your death, of course."

"I am Groot."

"Why, so he could turn you into a frickin' chair?" Rocket exclaimed, Zaria nodding.

"That's your pet?"

"His what?"

"Tivan. We have been halfway around the galaxy, retrieving this Orb."

"Very well, then. Let us see what you brought," the Collector said, holding his hand out for the orb. Zaria quickly noticed Drax wasn't with them, so she decided to use that as her excuse if someone asked where she went. The brunette slipped away from the group, sneaking down rows of the Collector's items. She ran into Catarina, so Zaria held up a knife to the slave's throat.

"Listen here Pinky, I want the red stone, reality, ether, whatever you call it, I want it, understand?" Catarina nodded, scared as Zaria removed her knife. "Good, lead the way." The two headed down the aisles, Zaria looking back at her ride to make sure they didn't leave without her.

"Here is the ether, Miss. I must warn you, these stones are in high command so you must care for it," Catarina explained, Zaria nodding as she used her water powers to scoop up the reality stone, placing it in her metal wristband.

"Before creation itself, there were six singularities. Then the universe exploded into existence, and the remnants of these systems were forged into concentrated ingots. Infinity Stones. These stones, it seems, can only be brandished by beings of extraordinary strength. Observe. These carriers can use the Stone to mow down entire civilizations like wheat in a field," the Collector explained as Catarina and Zaria quietly walked back to the group.

"There's a little pee coming out of me right now," Quill said, Zaria wincing.

"Too much information dipshit," she muttered.

"Once, for a moment... a group was able to share the energy amongst themselves, but even they were quickly destroyed by it." The orb opened. "Beautiful. Beyond compare."

"Blah blah blah. We're all very fascinated, whitey. But we'd like to get paid," Rocket said.

"How would you like to get paid?"

"What do you think fancy man? Units!"

"Very well, then." Catarina began to approach the kernel of the Orb. Zaria pulled out her smoke bombs, rolling them onto the ground. "Catarina. Stand back."

"I will no longer be your slave!" she shouted as the smoke began to spread. Catarina held onto the kernel of the Orb and the Collector's place bursted. Zaria made her way over to her group as though she'd never left their side.

"What the f..."

"How could I think Tivan could contain whatever was within the Orb?" Gamora asked aloud.

"What do you still have it for?" Rocket asked.

"What are we gonna do, leave it in there?" Quill asked. Zaria's eyes trailed onto Quill's bag, the woman thinking of ways to steal the orb.

"I can't believe you had that in your purse!" Rocket stated.

"It's not a purse, it's a knapsack!" Zaria snickered.

"We have to bring this to the Nova Corps. There's a chance they can contain it," Gamora said.

"Are you kidding me? We're wanted by the Nova Corps. Just give it to Ronan."

"I'm sorry, why can't we just give it to me?" Zaria said, Gamora narrowing her eyes at her.

"We're not giving it to you, or Ronan."

"Know what, let's give it to Aqua if you aren't going to give it to Ronan," Rocket said, Zaria nodding at the Raccoon.

"So they can destroy the galaxy?"

"What are you, some saint all of a sudden? What has the galaxy ever done for you? Why would you wanna save it?"

"Because I'm one of the idiots who lives in it!" Quill exclaimed. Zaria huffed.

"I'm not going to use the stone to destroy the galaxy, I'm going to use it to stop the Titans on my home planet!" Everyone ignored her, causing the blue-eyed woman to grow frustrated.

"Peter, listen to me. We cannot allow the Stone to fall into Ronan's hands, or Aqua's hands. We have to go back to your ship, and deliver it to Nova."

"Right, right, okay. I think you're right. Or we could give it to somebody who's not going to arrest us, who's really nice for a whole lot of money. I think it's a really good balance between both of your points of view."

"You're despicable. Dishonorable. Faithless!" Gamora exclaimed before getting punched by Zaria.

"Quit talking about me like I'm Ronan, cause I'm not! I'm getting that stone if it's the last thing I do!" Zaria shouted as Gamora held onto her nose. Before anyone could reply, they noticed Ronan and his army heading their way. Drax stepped forward, Zaria putting two and two together.

"At last! I shall meet my foe and destroy him."

"You called Ronan?" Quill exclaimed. Zaria frowned.

"You son of a bitch," she muttered.
