I walked down to the pier to sit and watch the ocean like I always do. I work as a waitress at a small beachside restaurant, it's pretty nice and I get paid well. People are always coming down here for vacation so business is usually pretty good.

I take a seat at the end of the pier and dangle my legs off the side as I rest my arms on the wooden rails. I watch as the waves slowly make their way towards the shore, curling as they get closer and closer. I've always enjoyed the sea. I feel at ease when I'm near it. I sigh and press my cheek against my folded arms. I close my eyes and start to sing. I love to come out here and sing. It helps me de-stress from the hectic work day.

Jungkook's POV

I reach the surface of the water and swim towards my usual spot under the pier. There's a little rock just perfect for sitting on.

I hope she hasn't left yet.

I take a seat on the rock and look up. I see legs dangling off the edge of the pier. Seconds later I hear her beautiful voice. She always sings the most beautiful songs. I feel a tug at my heart every time I hear her sing, I want to join in, but I can't let her know I'm here.

When she finishes singing I feel like I'm in a daze. I want to hear her sing again. I want to go see her. I want to kiss her.

I watch her often but I've never gotten a good look at her. Once when I was swimming to the pier I stuck my head out of the water for a second and caught a glimpse of her, but I went back under the water, not wanting to be seen. She works at that restaurant on the beach, she comes out here on the days she works. Whenever she isn't working I feel sad. I wish I could see her all the time.

Your POV

After I finish singing I just sat and enjoyed the view. I pulled my phone out and saw that it was time for me to head back inside. My heart feels heavy as I stand up and head back down the pier.

I finished up at work later that evening. Today ended up being a late work day but that's alright, my boss told me I'd get paid overtime for staying and helping. I head out to the parking lot and start to get in my car, but the sounds of the waves made me change my direction. I headed down the steps that led to the beach, as soon as I got to the last step I took my shoes off before walking down to the waves.

Since the restaurant is near the beach we don't really have a specific dress code or work uniform. We have to wear t-shirts with the restaurant name on it along with appropriate length shorts and sandals, or any kind of shoe really.

As soon as my feet hit the cold sand near the water a smile takes over my face. The waves hit my feet making my whole body relax. I walked into the waves until the water was at my knees. I skimmed my fingertips over the top of the water making little ripples. I looked out beyond the horizon and watched as a small boat sailed in the distance. As I gazed at the waves I saw someone poking up out of the water. It appeared as if they were staring at me.

I squinted my eyes trying I see if I could make out a face but the sunset made it hard to do that. I'm pretty sure it's a guy. I wasn't sure what to do. I awkwardly waved my arm in the air. He didn't move. I waved my arm again. He looked around and then back at me before waving his arm back.

This is weird.

The guy dunked under the water disappearing from my sight. I furrowed my brows and stared at the spot where the guy previously was. He popped up out of the water a few feet closer. He had now gotten close enough that I could see his face a little. He had large doe eyes that seemed to sparkle even from far away. His hair was dark and stuck to his forehead. For some reason I felt like someone was tugging at me trying to pull me towards this guy.
