ADAM'S POV:
I excused myself shortly after Savannah went with her dad and looked for Amelia.

What happened to her? I needed to see her. To know that she's fine. Even after what she did, I can't bring myself to unlove her.

I found her room and knocked.

"Come in." she spoke and I entered.

She was wrapped in a blanket and gaped at me.

"What are you doing here?" she asked with wide eyes.

"Cassandra told us you're sick. I came to check on you." I say sitting beside her.

"You just didn't want to face me, right?" I ask and she averts her gaze.

"I miss you Amelia." I say I'm a defeated tone.

"You're married Adam." she frowns.

"I don't care." I say and lean forward to capture her lips.

She resists for a couple of seconds but I squeeze her ass causing her to give my tongue the required entrance to deepen the kiss.

She eventually gives in and moans in my mouth. As if a switch is flipped, she pushes me away.

"You're not keeping her happy. Oh my God." she whispers mostly to herself but I still hear her.

I was about to ask what did she mean by that when I hear a commotion downstairs.

I quickly leave her room and follow the direction of the sound to find a maid talking to Frederick.

"What do you mean she fell?!!" he roared in anger.

The maid looked scared out of her wits.

"Where did she go?" he yelled.

"I-I don't know." she gulped and scurried away.

"What happened?" I ask descending the stairs.

"Where were you?" he asks harshly.

"Restroom." I lied.

"Savannah fell from the stairs and I don't know where she is." he ran a hand through his hair.

"Where did she go?" I ask.

"Nobody knows." he replied.

What the fuck? How could she have walked if she fell?

I dial her number but it's switched off. I run outside to find my car there. How did she leave?

In panic, I drove towards her hospital and she wasn't there either.

I go home in hopes of finding her but nothing.

"Fuck." I curse in frustration.

I call her to check if she's switched on the phone but nothing.

It's been almost two hours and I'm pulling at my hair.

I'm pacing in my living room with Ace and Bella staring at me with their signature puppy dog eyes.

Suddenly a thought hit me and I dial Nate.

After five rings, he picks up.

"Hello?"

"Nate, Is Savannah there with you?" I ask.

"No." he replies.

"Okay." I say and hang up.

The front door opens and my head snaps up.

"Savannah?" I ask.

She comes in my line of vision.
