Facing the owe

Of her tent entrance

when she saw Rue, walking along

Chechi jumped up, figuring her chance

"Hey, Rue! I wanna talk to you!"

Chechi yelled over the street

"I owe you so much! What can I do?

Is there something that you need?"

"I don't think, you could do something

I really want to own.

Cause what I want, ain't in your hand.

Though thanks, I really need none."

Chechi frowned, thinking about

What she could offer to Rue

When a deal got into her mind

Everybody else, she thought, would have done it too

"See, Rue, I really owe you some

And already my grandpa taught me

Never to let any owe open, unpaid

If I don't do anything for you, I won't be free."

Rue shook her head, trying to refuse

"I did it, because you're an Indian like me

Why don't you get some rest? You could really use

It. Then you may feel a little more free."

Chechi slowly nodded

"I guess, you are right...

Gettin' some rest... The best thing it might

Be for me and now.

Goodbye and good day",

She greeted. "I should go."

But in her mind she still was busy

To find a way, facing her owe

And she went in her tent

Very little noisy

Humming an old indian melody

It left her no rest.

She wanted to face

The great owe she had.

She had found a place

To rest and to live

And that all thanks to Rue

She had people to give

And to say something to.

But maybe Rue was right and really needed nothing.

Not more than she had, at least.

Still Chechi wanted to find a deal, something

The sun was now sinking in the east.

Chechi laid down, closing her eyes

Humming a melody

"Never mind, what'll come and what was!

What you have, you should see!"
