The House of Hope – Margarita
Her freedom won,
And debit now paid;
Margarita looked forward,
To plans now laid.
Days spent with Lotta,
Learning to speak Ingles.
Evenings with Pastor Stein,
Learning about grace.
Before the city council,
Soon she would need to speak;
About the school and orphanage,
She didn't want to sound weak.
In her heart she had no doubt,
But her mind was still saying no.
This battle inside her,
Only seemed to grow.
Until last night, in earnest prayer,
A vision came before her eyes;
Of happy children playing,
Under blue cloudless skies.
She took the whole scene in,
Every sight and every sound.
Then her heart won over her mind,
The moment she turned around...
There before her on a building,
A sign painted in yellow for all to see...
"Sister Margarita's Casa de Esperanza"
Her fears were now all set free.
The vision slowly faded,
Reality settles back in.
Margarita's heart and mind now one,
And she knows exactly where to begin.
