After making small talk, and having fits of laughter during almost every conversation, I decide to check my phone.

It is already two in the morning, which means that I have been talking to Niall for over three hours, since Morgan and I arrived at around eleven.

I sigh and sit back in my chair. Colin doesn't close until people start to leave, and sometimes that won't be until seven in the morning. As much as I enjoy talking to my new friend, I am not intending on staying til then.

"I should probably grab my mates and see if they are willing to head out," he says quietly. I wish we could stay here forever, and talk about the simplest things. Everything in my life has been hectic, and talking with Niall has taken all the craziness that has overwhelmed me away.

"Yeah it is getting pretty late," I answer.

"And I don't reckon you would want to talk to me for much longer anyways, you're probably already sick of me," he chuckles to himself and I'm a little surprised. Does he not realize how happy I am right now? This is the first time in weeks that I have actually had a good time. It's even a bigger ordeal that I'm spending the moment with someone I barely even know.

"Not true," I say.

He stands up but stops right in front of the door.

"If you don't want me to go, I can change my mind. I can stay and chat, if your friend doesn't want to leave just yet," he says softly and I smile. "I don't want to leave you alone out here."

"It's alright, I should make sure she isn't totally wasted. Make sure she's alright and stuff," I say and stand up too.

I don't realize how close my chair was to the door until the moment when I stand up from it and Niall's silhouette is only inches away. Any closer and we would be touching, or even kissing.

"You know, I really enjoyed tonight Allyson. When my mates said they wanted to hit a bar tonight, I thought it was going to be a real drag. But I had fun, and thank you for that. I would've been stuck out here the entire night playing with my phone or something," he says and I blush. Again, I'm thankful for the dark.

"I had a nice time too," I say softly.

"My life, is kind of crazy. This is the first time in as long as I can remember that I could actually meet and talk to someone normally," he says.

Although I don't really understand half of it, I do relate.

"Well, I hope you can round up all your friends and get home safely. Or back to Ireland I guess?" I say, confused as to what to say.

He laughs, "We are here for about a week or so. Gotta check the schedule. And I won't be going back to Ireland for a while probably," he says and with the light of the stars I can see a frown.

"Why not? Can't you just catch a flight back home? I bet Logan aiport has at least one flight there," I say, and immediately wish I took it back. Maybe he can't afford it, and I'm the first to understand that issue.

"It's...complicated," he says and I nod.

I look at my feet and wiggle my toes, feeling his eyes watch me.

"So, I guess this is it?" I ask.

He doesn't respond for a few seconds and we continue the silence.

"It's nice meeting ya Allyson. Thank you, for everything," he says, barely a whisper.

"No problem," I say finally, and he opens the door ushering me inside.

I step through and the moment I do, the bright lights shock my eyes, which react by squinting. I walk forward trying to navigate my way while my pupils adjust to the brightness.

With my luck, she didn't move much, only a few seats down the bar. And she is like I expected, completely and utterly drunk.

"Allyson! There you are!" she says, jumping out of her chair and hugging me.

"We gotta get you home Morgan, I'll call a cab," I say, holding her up for balance.

"You're really pretty Allyson, did you know that?" she says, looking me dead in the eyes. I manage a laugh. Thank God Morgan is a happy, silly drunk. If only she could be a walking-drunk.

I turn around, hoping for a last glance at Niall before I leave, but I can't find him. I sigh, dissapointed, and head out the door.

I lead Morgan to sit at a bench outside the bar and ring up the taxi number on my phone. After placing the call and giving the driver the address of the bar, I turn around to see Morgan passed out over the entire bench.

I look up at the moon, and my heart sinks. I was sitting out in the back of the bar for hours, but it went by so fast. If only I told Niall I really didn't want him to leave, I could be out there right now. But I always seem to put the convenience of other people first. I should learn how to be more selfish.

I walk over to Morgan and try to fix her hair up a bit, and sit her up straight. She really needs to bathe, but I'm not trusting letting her shower by herself this drunk.

I hear the sound of a vehicle skidding right behind me and I turn around fast. A silver van takes a quick stop and people with cameras pour out, flashing like mad. I put my hands above my eyes, the lights blinding.

They rush to the windows of the bar and take a million pictures. What the hell?

I walk closer to the door to see if something happened or why on earth they are taking pictures. I want to ask, but a sense of fear whispers in the back of my head.

In all the times I have been at Colin's little joint, there has never been big enough news to take pictures of. The biggest action that has occurred is a bar fight, but why would people take pictures of that? It's just stupid drunks getting angry.

A car beeps and I turn around, seeing the taxi. It's Ralph again, which isn't a surprise. He owns the company, and only has a few employees. I shake Morgan to get a tiny bit of her conscience awake, and help her get into the taxi. As I get her in, the people who were taking pictures start yelling words I can't make out.

I slide into the seat next to Morgan, but don't close my door just yet.

A mob of guys exit the bar. I can see four, maybe five or six of them. The people with cameras hold up these speaker things to their faces as they try to escape the mob.

"Are you gonna close the door or are we sitting here all night?" Ralph asks, obviously annoyed. I shut the door, but keep my eyes on the window. Still not understanding what is going on, I watch the scene while the cab starts to drive away.

And then I see Niall in the midst of the crowd, pushing the reporters away, heading towards a slick black Lincoln stretch limousine.
